    Fetch me a whore

I find it amusing that so many people who I often see focused on having their games maintain a degree of realism and internal consistency are uncomfortable having sex in their games. It's natural, it's happening between millions of people right now as I'm typing this, and it's continuing our...

    Power Attack offset

If you run the PA/Shock Trooper on a Duskblade, you can probably use Knowledge Devotion as well.

    Power Attack offset

Not to negate the bonuses, no, but racking up easy bonuses to counter balance is good. Brute Gauntlets are cheap and useful at low levels. Do not take Weapon Focus for this.

Creative ways to place traps in dungeon?

It only carries a negative consequence when they try to disarm. Taking 20 to inspect an area means they looked long and hard until they were sure they could go forward. There's no negative penalty for something you technically haven't done yet.

Creative ways to place traps in dungeon?

Hide them magically. Illusions are good for this, because if the rogue doesn't actually know what it's looking at, no search check is going to help. It's a sign of an engaged player to be that cautious, by the way.

    The social contract

It depends on what kind of character I'm running, and how it's interacted with the distressed one in question. If I've had favorable interactions and play an at least moderately generous character, then yes. If neither, then no. If one or the other, it really depends. The first time, probably...

    Looking for a monster.

I wouldn't be mad enough to allow them to breed that fast in my game.

    Looking for a monster.

I keep seeing this. What's going on with all the spambots lately? Also, the Summoning Ooze looks good. I remember the Neogi, they're in a book somewhere!

    Looking for a monster.

Oozes are good, but I'm looking for something "spawns" things or something like that each turn; The idea would be to defeat the big thing before it's spawn swarms them.

    Looking for a monster.

I'm looking for a monster that has some ability that allows them to spawn weaker creatures every (or near every) round. If this were a passive ability that allowed the creature to make a basic slam attack or something of the sort in the meantime, that's a plus. Something plant like would be nice...

    D&D 5E (2014) My next character.

If you have the skill points, and some Charisma, investing in Iaijitsu Focus is more than worth it. While you aren't taking the PrCs that allow you to focus in it, it's still an excellent option to defend yourself when disguises don't hold up.

Are your players usually ok with restrictions?

Generally, I outright avoid games that restrict too much. The players may have an idea of what they want before sitting down, and not giving them the resources to make that is silly. So, I may make some specific bannings that are logical to the setting, but it's rarely a problem for me as a DM...

Are your players usually ok with restrictions?

I rarely make restrictions, since I know plenty enough about optimization for dealing with more rules savvy players. If I do make restrictions, it's more about the setting we play in, so, not only are the players okay with it, they appreciate it for adding to internal consistency.

    Any one do solo play?

I write up a lot of homebrew game worlds, and test out various builds. Soloing is simply the most efficient method for most play testing, but I wouldn't do a formal game without a GM.

Large Bat. And Pterodactyl, whichever book it's in.

    Grumble grumble...

You forgot the part where you flipped the table at the DM with your rage-enhanced muscles, and got a nat 20 on his head.

    Balancing Wizards and Clerics

Well, first of all, any serious comparison of a caster vs. a melee class goes step by step. At 1st level, A wizard can have Abrupt Jaunt. Most of mine do. So, to be fair, I don;t have many ways of keeping you more than 10ft. away, but, when I port a hop skip and a jump away, it doesn't matter. I...

    Balancing Wizards and Clerics

If you did that, players would either go with the Beguiler/Dread Necromancer/Warmage, or play Illusionist for Shadowy Evocation/Conjuration, Conjuration to summon things with spell like abilites, or Transmuters to turn in to things with spell like abilites.
