    Artworks in an RPG

It doesn't feel like it's underground but more among the mountains. I don't know how the big floaty rock in the middle is suspended but for me it feels very out of place due to the sunlight around it. And there's nothing connecting all the samey buildings all around — buildings who seem to be...

    Artworks in an RPG

Art in explaining the rules brings up Atomic Robo to me, and it does this excellently. Art as examples can make the rules stick in a different way than just text can.

    [BLADERUNNER] Updated EARLY ACCESS materials.

They've used 1's for bad stuff in some games and not others but over all they've used the same mechanics. T2K and now Blade Runner are the two that has had significant change in how the dice work, so I'd argue that we now have two different forks of YZE. Before we just had slight variations.

    [BLADERUNNER] Updated EARLY ACCESS materials.

I think this was first seen with Twilight 2000 which in turn was a refinement on the Forbidden Lands that introduced the die steps (but still kept the dice pool).

    Which VTT do you use?

I did like the grab dice and toss in Fantasy Grounds diceroller. That is also the only thing I liked with it. Automization might be great if you own all things, but I like physical books and can not afford to spend almost the same amount for a finite digital product. It's also easier to...

    Which VTT do you use?

As someone who used Roll20 for a lot previously, I'm kinda glad that they didn't like my credit card and made me go get Foundry. The learning curve from R20 isn't that steep, and I don't have to modify the character sheets for usability standpoint as much. R20 has more systems still though.

Free League announces Dragonbane, the translation of Swedish RPG classic Drakar och Demoner

Not really a beef and I didn't mean to come across harsh, but they did call RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha "cutting edge of roleplay design" in 2019 while dismissing games with mechanics that came out after the 90s. And while I do like their games, they're not that modernised. And I'm...

Free League announces Dragonbane, the translation of Swedish RPG classic Drakar och Demoner

One Ring and Mörk Borg are both games where they're the publisher/distributor, not the creators. So they're not "their" games. As for their fantasy games Symbaroum, Forbidden Lands, and Dragonbane will all have different rules and therefore speak to different people — five different rules if we...

Free League announces Dragonbane, the translation of Swedish RPG classic Drakar och Demoner

Krister is writing for it though, even if he's not the lead designer. It's hard to make anything in BRP in Sweden without having him either involved or as an inspiration. (He's made it feel very contemporary despite it's early roots in a way Chaosium can only dream about..)

Getting back into the hobby. Need help with digital solutions

If you have a Foundry license, there is a subscription-based webhosted version called Forge. I've not tried it myself, but it should be able to what Roll20 does.

    Coriolis: The Third Horizon

Yes, you can reroll. It was a while since I played it, but due to the handing the GM a darkness point every time you pray to reroll, this might be the one YZE game that allows you to reroll the reroll — but no-one has ever done that. Might be wrong though. But the thing with weapons and gear...

    Coriolis: The Third Horizon

No, you need three sixes, not four. One to hit and then two to pay for the crit effect. The second one with five successes, yes, you can crit twice.

    Coriolis: The Third Horizon

An full on FinD resolution is probably easier to do with the two dice and step up sizes rolling mechanic of the newer Year Zero variant than the old d6 pool one.

    Coriolis: The Third Horizon

In this case, I feel it's very easy to just run it with the core book and ignore the campaign. Sure it ash twists and turns but a lot of those are not what makes the game good — quite the opposite even, the meta plot of the campaign removes some of the cool stuff in the setting IMO. As for...

Cowboy Junkies also did a great cover of Springsteen's Thunder Road. As well as a Townes song (that I think they did a lot better and I really like Townes).

    Twitter is a poor place

No, that depends on how you see people through an anonymous lens. They're just removing the mask as social media makes that easy and shows you how they treat people they do not know. "Internet isn't real" is what naughty words say to justify behaving like naughty words as people online is not that...
