Is a Kickstarter for this Epic Bestiary book a good idea?

What? When I used the pricing calculator 100 pages 8.5" x 11" (big!) color premium glossy hardcover was $27 cost. 200 pages was $45. What is driving up your price?

    Melee Weapons sorted by effectiveness?

All good points, haven't decided yet. While I appreciate how 5e split things into blunt, slash, pierce, there is something off with the implementation that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe because its tracking too much when often it doesn't matter. Or because 500+ monsters end up with...

Is a Kickstarter for this Epic Bestiary book a good idea?

My understanding is that kickstarter is only worth it if you have an established internet presence such that you can get enough eyeballs over there. I have a question though, lets say you have the quality of the D&D books, hardcover, which is fantastic quality. Then you have the drivethru...

    Melee Weapons sorted by effectiveness?

Good idea. Yeah I'm going to update the list to fix up the offhands to be a tad more realistic.

    AD&D 2E 2e AD&D PHB Balance

I found core 2e to be quite balanced due to carefully selected magic items providing what the classes were otherwise missing and getting everyone on roughly the same power level.

    Melee Weapons sorted by effectiveness?

Oh the brandistock, my go to weapon in Chivalry Medieval Warfare (old version). I mean thats a lot of polearms, I think the tricky part is distinguishing them so that each bring something different to the table, and are valid choices (beyond fluff of what it looks like). Where did you get that...

    Sorting armor by effectiveness

Well its high fantasy with a grim dark twist so no guns. Not at the stage of deciding on setting, but even if I did it would that would be for an adventure not the core rules which are to be generic enough. I'm just want the starter armor and weapons not to raise red flags, like accidentally...

    Melee Weapons sorted by effectiveness?

Sure but I'm trying to keep things as simple as is necessary, so take every fantasy monster and villain and average the effectiveness.

    Melee Weapons sorted by effectiveness?

I think I used this google result which suggested that the bastard sword was longer/heavier. https://battlingblades.com/pages/what-is-the-difference-between-bastard-sword-vs-longsword Primarily I want to distinguish between a sword which can be used one-handed vs a sword which really needs to...

Hmm for scimitar I guess I was thinking Drizzt but thats a little too DnD, I can take it off. So just dagger and axe from my googling. Alright great, I'll work on those weights thanks!

    Melee Weapons sorted by effectiveness?

I haven't done ranged weapons yet but can you look through this generic weapon list and a) does anything stand out as egregiously missing, like some fav melee weapon you like? b) does anything look like it has too much damage (or too little) compared to another weapon in the list. (Updated 26-Feb)

    Sorting armor by effectiveness

Its a good point, I am trying disuade the use of it for dungeoneering, maybe I should just remove it from the list of player options. I just don't think (per someone elses comment) that it is practical to go into a megadungeon dressed like
