How did we get to kosher and allergies from vegan?

If it was just one angry customer sure, but that is not the case.

D&D General Why grognards still matter

Exactly, which means maximizing purchases from the brodest customer base possible, not focusing on a single portion of that group at the expense of other parts based on title sales. Otherwise why print more than the PHB?

D&D General Why grognards still matter

It really comes down to which customers the restaurant wants, they can keep both groups if they want, by adjusting the menu to end up with the maximum number of customers.

D&D General Why grognards still matter

This is true if the only metric of concern is units sold. If you want to sell your whole catalog then the titles sold the value of group B increases beyond the units they buy. You're obviously going to realize more profit from group A, and if that is all that matters why bother with any other...

I agree i could have been more specific, thanks for pointing it out.

D&D General Why grognards still matter

I see the disconnect now thank you. if you reread my post you'll see i made no such claim. I did say that group A becomes more valuable if you consider they buy most/all of the catalog , but I did not say they became more valuable than group B.

I am not sure how this ties into my post. Could you help me understand how it does?

D&D General Why grognards still matter

It is the nature of the game that the few will be the biggest buyers, and the masses will be the small purchasers that rely on the few that buy the most. In a game that doesn't require a single purchase from the IP holder to play.

D&D General Why grognards still matter

It is more complicated than that. If all group B buys is the PHB and XGtE, and group A buys everything you sell then group A becomes a lot more valuable. Unless all you want to sell is a small part of your catalog.

D&D General Languages suck in D&D.

In my experience the only time a language has been an issue in game has been a DM issue. By that I mean a DM in a game or 2 has had a key part of the game hidden behind a particular language that none of the party spoke. It was awkward, but the DM's were quick thinkers and found work arounds...

D&D 5E (2014) For those playing 2014 5e, how are you reacting to the 2024 update?

That has been my experience, 5e24 severely disrupted the DDB tools for 5e14. After going back to p&p the player groups im in are actually more engaged and know how to play their characters way better than when we used DDB. A lot more play and a lot less waiting for someone to click, scroll...

D&D 5E (2014) For those playing 2014 5e, how are you reacting to the 2024 update?

We have one game that has transitioned to p&p, and are a few weeks away from starting a second. Players are really enjoying it.

D&D 5E (2014) For those playing 2014 5e, how are you reacting to the 2024 update?

I was pretty sure I wasn't going to switch when they first announced the change, mostly because I have so much 5e14 stuff to play through but as more information became available I knew i wasn't buying any of the 24 books. After Monsters of the Multiverse and Phandelver and Below came out I did...

D&D 5E (2014) Wizards values the power of conditions and noncombat effects as virtual damage.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Beyond: Any negative experiences?

If your going to buy digital, the DDB website is the place to buy it. If you're gonna buy physical there are far better options than DDB. The digital/physical bundle likely is a case by case descion if you find the physical book cheap enough the total price can be cheaper than the DDB bundle price.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Beyond: Any negative experiences?

Where I lost faith in the platform was when they stopped honoring the bundle discounts stacking with sale prices as they were advertised. I have spent well over a thousand dollars on the site, and if I could sell the account it I would, but it is not mine. The site sucks since wizbro bought it.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Beyond: Any negative experiences?

The average price I have paid for my physical books is $22.41 per book. When does wizbro sell books on DDB for that? Even the digital books are more than that on sale.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Beyond: Any negative experiences?

I regret evrey penny I have spent there. It is a platform for those that want the most current form of the game. If you want to play a consistent game books are best, and they are cheaper from almost anywhere else. It is also important to note that any digital products bout there are not...

    D&D 5E (2024) Thoughts on Stealth and D&D2024

Nothing there says a pc or creature with 2 forward facing eyes can see all around the simultaneously, they do have multiple lines of sight, but how many are available to process at any given time is not stated. Try again, no colored home brew needed to cloud the discussion. 🤣
