I'm a fan of the potions having less potency and or expiration after a while. This does come with some tracking/inventory drawbacks so is not used in all of our games, but when we have a group into more extensive inventory tracking it has been fun

I'd suggest checking out the lock picking lawyer on YouTube to see what a practiced lock picker can do with a variety of unknown locks. Be warned it is a rabbit hole.

Who is "whining" about change? People are asking for DS to be changed and updated for 5e, and pointing out the majority of it fits right in with current objectionable IRL stuff that is already in the game. The only whining I am seeing is in some of the fantastical comparisons with crushing...
