For me and the majority of the people I play with in respect to 5e vs 5.5e the only reason anyone cares is strictly based on the way wizbro chose to implement the 5.5e rules in the character generation tools. Job mandated sure, consumer related, it should be labeled if what your buying is "ai" like allergens and gmo is in foods. Don't hide what your selling, and let the consumer choose what they are willing to pay for.

Quality is easily quantifiable, an individual's level of what is deemed acceptable quality is not as easily quantifiable.
