Sure, but bland content is hard to pay for when better content is cheaper or free elsewhere. A company can only ride on its name alone for so long.

I am thinking more rules light, and rule of cool over RAW, which most debates seem to boil down too. For the record my favorite edition is 5e, as in pre 24/5.5 stuff and to me that relates more to rule of cool/light than the 5.5 stuff, though 5.5 just seems to push the peas around the plate...

Didn't they try 2 rulesets way back, I believe it was D&D and Advanced D&D? If memory servs AD&D significantly out sold the simpler offering. That said i don't think that would be the case now. Maybe they should try 2 options again since the user base is much broader now, especially...
