I'll run an RPG in the private room in the morning, please, and a minis game on a big minis table in the afternoon slot. Thanks.

Any news from Gygax Games yet?

If true, that's too bad. The intersection of all of these things would accomplish much and please many. As to the raw nature of any notes, I think it would be most satisfying to anyone who has ever slaved over such a labor of love to see that even the top dog was still part of the pack. It...

From the ashes will rise a new Hivemind.

I just read that as Smillionth which I will continue to use as a word meaning so-and-so millionth when I am happy enough to mean more than a million and I don't care how much more. :D

Is "DnD Encounters" strictly a 4E thing or something that is done for other editions, too?

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

Oh, that's right. Poor fellow. I hope he has landed on his feet. Well, maybe that means the pipeline for more information won't be as easy to squelch. We'll have to see if his source remains fluid.

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

Cull the herd to keep salaries down and pick up fresh meat when gearing up for a new edition from among the best and brightest in the industry while keeping a few old hands on to smooth the transition. Easier to do in the days when WotC supported the OGL and they could easily spot the odd...

    Frank Frazetta RIP

Those paperback covers in the Sixties and Seventies were an early inspiration for my gaming. Sad he has passed on.

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

That's actually part of the business model not a coincidental thing that they just haven't noticed is a trend.

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

Aside from their yearly X-Mas layoffs, haven't they always chopped personel at other times of the year? Some people like Monte Cook and, apparently, Andy Collin are usually astute enough to see these things coming and arrange to make a move before it happens to them, but this doesn't only...

Very sad. Definitely a major influence on fantasy gaming and fiction, as well as on me personally.

    STARGATE UNIVERSE # 16:Sabotage/Season 1/2010

Totally agree. It's just something they have handwaved for the show. There's no way even a signed waiver would protect people from some of what happens during the exchanges.

    BSG Saturday Evening

But the Nalls need their alone time and want to be done by 10pm. What are you, some sort of robot who blocks stuff? :D I say we keep it at 6pm, figuring it will take a bit of time to rally/muster all of the players. As we get enough for one board, we'll get a game started, then when more...
