This is most certainly one of the biggest, and best improvements implemented by A5e. The accumulation of wealth feels impactful again, as there's now wide variety of activities and gear to spend it on. I would also add giving magic items a pricing scale is a welcome addition.

Ahh, my mistake. I thought because wands in 3.5 had a minimum caster level of 5th to create, the spell put into any given wand was assumed to have been placed there by a 5th level caster. It's been a while since I've played 3.5 as you can see. :p

A new question that has come to mind: Strongholds: How do you upgrade a stronghold? Is there a specific cost from going from Grade 1 to Grade 2? Is it a matter of increasing the size of said stronghold, or increasing it's luxury? Or both?

I do like the idea of performing an Arcana check against the DC of a broken item, as if you were trying to repair it using the appropriate mundane tools. This seems like a reasonable solution, keeping both the damage sub-system and the cantrip relevant. :)
