    D&D 5E (2024) 4/26 Playtest: The Sorceror

What I don't like, is the subclass feature that are : draconic exhalation and dragon wings The exhalation is 15 ft cone, which is really short and small, like base on DMG a 15 ft cone is expected to hit 2 creature and they are in melee range. And wings... why permanent fly at Lv.14 be deem as...

You know 5e don't have that for...several reasons, but older edition have, like Illumian in Races of Destiny which are "humanoid creatures with the human subtype"

Isn't "The Dunedain blood" what we call racial trait in DND? Edit: Or lineage like those three in VRGtR, because Dunedain are human but extra spicy.

    D&D 5E (2024) Developer Video on Druid/Paladin/Expert Feedback

If the whole point is BE Aragorn, I recommand play a fighter dip with rouge and choose outlander for background. Edit: Because that is probably every charater are beside Valar, Maiar and half-Maiar (Lúthien ) in the middle earth. Edit2 : And Nazgûls, they are warlock

    D&D 5E (2024) Developer Video on Druid/Paladin/Expert Feedback

I still don't get why plenty of people got hyper focus on magic-less ranger and get mad/disappointment that WotC keep them as it. My logic is that generally, nature got plenty of magic, and will provide druid primal magic. Why a guy that trying to "get along" in nature will choose mundane ways...

But again, if the game isn't happening at the climate/terrain you choose, or DM isn't into the whole survival thing, doesn't that mean ranger still got dead level? Unless they just provide gerenal bonus like resistance or something .

    D&D 5E (2024) Developer Video on Druid/Paladin/Expert Feedback

I think in the very fundamental form, favoured enemy and terrain will give you some benefits against that creature or fight in that terrain. But the problem is, when ranger NOT fight that type of creature or in the specific terrain, You got dead level which don't provide anything .

Yeah? You might have miss the Journeys through the Radiant Citadel, which is a adventure compilation featuring 13+2 non-Europe setting. The +2 mean two of them only have an overview and don't have adventure. Umizu is one of the two unfortunately.

Again, why bother rewrite it completely when those three have good foundation, they even write with a shared founding legend that is perfect to put three settings in one grand shared world.

Kara-Tur? I believe it have too many cultural appropriation stuff that will deem problematic. Beside they got Yeonido (Korea), Yongjing (China) and Umizu (Japan) which are Nebula Award Nominated (the whole Journeys through the Radiant Citadel got nominated). Why trying to fix up Kara-Tur when...

    D&D 5E (2014) Revel's End... magi-tech that jumps the shark!

It is more of an inequality problem, just like real world. You have places like Halruaa or Thay that magic is everywhere, or basically live in dirt (or ice) like Icewind dale.

    D&D 5E (2014) Revel's End... magi-tech that jumps the shark!

TBH FR is more High Magic than Eberron, just not as pervasive as how Eberron utilize magic . And that prison is builded by city-states that have plenty (and powerful) of magic users to deposit.

    D&D 5E (2014) Sticking with D&D?

I expect the most likely microtransaction is from the in-house VTT. Due to it being a 3D one you have to build 3D models for each creature and terrain, instead find a pic and done for 2D VTT. If those executives still have some brain cell inside (not very likely) they might open a "community...

D&D 5E (2024) Have we potentially seen the end of the OneD&D Playtest?

I am apathy toward the whole OGL sh*tstorm and still somewhat excited for the playtest, but if the insider mail speak true, those executives are really idiotic to handle situation like this.

Rumours: WotC Announcement Today; Insider Email Reveals Plans

If this letter is true then those executives are really megalomaniac and stupid, they don't even try the anchoring effect. Should have hired someone from Xbox department, at least those people know how to properly milk gamer dry. Or the whole 1.1 OLG storm is some kind of 5D chess that ultimate...

D&D 5E (2024) Have we potentially seen the end of the OneD&D Playtest?

I mean, that is normal for the rest of the world, things like OGL is usually done by nonprofit organization instead of corporation.

    So how do we respond?

Kid this day are raise with smart phones, I really doubt they will play them instead watch more brain-rotting TikTok

D&D 5E (2024) First playtest thread! One D&D Character Origins.

Well, looks like they still want people to buy Fizban even after 2024. Cause the default dragonborn is back to the awful range.
  20. N

D&D 5E (2014) What do you think of Fizban's races, subclasses feats and spells?

Those two spells are control spells that don't require concentration, so you can pop a concentration spell first then use them to control those who didn't fail to the first spell.
