Really? My v3.5 core rulebooks all say "Based on the original Dungeons & Dragons game created by E. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson" on the very first page, the very first words in the book after the D&D logo and the title of the book. And I know the 3E books listed them as well.

Nope. I loved 1st Edition Pathfinder but 2E just looks really unappealing to me. D&D 5E has hit all the right spots for me, with just a tiny bit of tweaking. I do hope all the people going with PF2E enjoy it, though.
