    The mandalorian [Spoilers]

I'm completely hooked on the show after seeing both episodes. I like how he's competent but not a complete badass (he's gotten beaten up pretty bad and his fight with the Jawas...lol, in a good way), which gives him room to grow. Love the visuals and plot regarding his important bounty.

    D&D 4E Up-to-Date Character Builder

Well, you might be able to still subscribe to WotC's original (Silverlight) Character Builder, which is updated with everything for 4e (as far as I know). Mine is still active. But I heard you had to have been a past subscriber (it's unclear at this point). There is a thread about that here.

What are your favorite (and least favorite) Star Wars sequences or scenes?

OMG. Yes! I had forgotten about that. I chose to select only 3 (cuz it could go on forever, right), but this would be one of my top 5.

What are your favorite (and least favorite) Star Wars sequences or scenes?

It's up there on my list, but not sure it would hit the top 5. I only listed three, so I'm mulling it over....

What are your favorite (and least favorite) Star Wars sequences or scenes?

I'll stick at three. Favorite: The trench sequence in A New Hope where Luke blows up the Death Star. It's so iconic, it's easy to take it for granted. But it was such a thrill watching it for the first (second, third, etc.) time. Obi-Wan and Anakin's fight on Mustafar in The Revenge of the...

Testing the Waters: Want to Run a 4e D&D game Online

Looking to see how much interest is out there for an online (VTT) game of 4th ed D&D. This would be my first time running someone online, so I'm just in the preliminary stages of exploring VTT's. I'm hoping to start in the new year with possible one-shots to work out kinks and become familiar...

Dealing with troublesome players (broken & passive)

So, if I was confronted with this situation, the first thing I would do is to mentally prepare b/c changing things (if it is possible at all) will probably take some time. It seems pretty messy, esp. if you don't have much choice and/or they're you're friends. Second, I'd try to game with just...

    Map Suggestions

By the latter, do you mean the tactical or battle maps we use for minis? (While the former referred to full maps like an entire wizard’s tower) I was referring to the latter. Again, it’s harder to find good (full) maps for the sci-fi, modern and (I’ll add) post-apocalypse genres. I’m not...

Look At This Gorgeous Map For The One Ring 2E!

They’re gorgeous! I really love maps. I’m prepping to start a TOR campaign but I’m waiting for 2e to come out. Can’t wait!

I'm seeking advice. How do you encourage players to talk to each other and do stuff?

First, I think you’re being too hard on yourself. It’s great you want to improve your game, but keep in mind it’s just a game. Second, there are a couple of things to parse out here. Are they bored? Or are the merely passive? One could be passive or reactionary, but still be engaged. As...

    Map Suggestions

That’s why I asked. Completely agree with you - the fantasy genre is pretty saturated. I’ve looked for maps for Gamma World and (believe it or not) Street Fighter and couldn’t find much. Another map I’ve looked for? a Generational Space Ship for a one-shot of Metamorphosis Alpha.

RPG Evolution: RPGs Have a Health Problem

I normally lurk on these boards but wanted to comment about an important aspect of the US healthcare system that I believe plays a principal role in the problems designers and creative types face today: health insurance is primarily gained as a benefit for employment and highly subsidized by...

Star Trek Adventures, what do I need to know

I played STA a couple of times at cons, which convinced me to get it and run it for my family and friends. Some things for consideration at a session zero are: Is anyone playing the captain? Should anyone? Are you all going to be Chief level? Or lower? The game does accommodate you playing...

Free Carnival Row RPG from Nerdist & Monte Cook Games

The pdf is a great source book (for being free) that includes a lot more info than expected. Great for fans of the show too (like me). As for the game system, I’m not familiar with Cypher not looking for a new one to purchase and learn. My initial reaction was Cortex Prime but Unisystem (Ghosts...

    Top Secret: New World Order

I've backed the KS and eagerly await the box of goodies [emoji1] I'm interested in knowing how "updated" the game is in terms of technology and spy craft (if that makes sense). I still have old copies of TS/SI and JB 007 but I'm looking for something beyond the Cold War.... Sent from my...
