Classes are capped at 5. Multiclassing works though, so you can theoretically get up to character level 20 (if you want to make something wild!)

Well, i am working on my first publication presently, but I got into it by sharing my ideas in the various A5e discords and then I got noticed by the 3rd party community. I also tried to carve out a niche as one of the data gremlins.

I would say no. The EN team does its own thing and so do the 3rd party folks. For a quick example, there are two distinct takes on the necromancer (one from Ace's and the EN one); both of them do different things and there is usually plenty of room for different takes even in an archetype that...

It's why a5e is my goto. The 3rd party community is SO good
