    D&D 5E (2024) WotC D&D Comunity Update for June 8th.

Loseing pact magic Rewriting bard inspiration Changing spell lists (although mostly this is bard and Druid/ranger issues… but also makes wizard less unique) Removing subclass choices.

    D&D 5E (2024) WotC D&D Comunity Update for June 8th.

Wouldn’t be an enworld article submission without someone insulting people who disagree by pretending they are lying. (You know but not many)

D&D 5E (2024) People on this forum are creating confusion. Not WotC.

Yes it was BUT it also 4e was harmed by a few people spreading anecdotes and rumors, even provable untrue ones (everyone has spells)

D&D 5E (2024) Martial vs Caster: Removing the "Magical Dependencies" of high level.

Except the wizard started with the most subclasses. Then casters got more spells lots more. The fighter in 1 book got a few new BM manuvers. The casters got more subclasses then non casters.

D&D 5E (2024) Martial vs Caster: Removing the "Magical Dependencies" of high level.

Okay 4 core classes. How many sun classes for each? Edit: I find 9 fighter 13 wizard 9 for rogue and cleric 14 So if the 4 core class it is 16 non caster (remeber 1 rogue and 1 fighter become casters) 29 caster… it’s not 2 to 1 but close

Except for spells. Then it is rules over rulings

I am twice your age and I think we have 20’s maybe early 30’s in the room

I think that’s @GMforPowergamers he had a whole thing when the playtest started but he got made fun of and more or less run off. He hasn’t been on in a while if he does he posts like once then runs. I don’t blame him I post here less and less cause of the massive amount of personal attacks allowed.

D&D 5E (2024) Martial vs Caster: Removing the "Magical Dependencies" of high level.

Conan and even herc and Thor would not be up to facing a party of 4 17th level full casters.

D&D 5E (2024) Martial vs Caster: Removing the "Magical Dependencies" of high level.

@GMforPowergamers used to say “every hero has an origin story but they all have powers no matter what the origin is” Was Spider-Man mutated by a radioactive spider bite or magical chosen by the spider totem? It doesn’t really matter.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

I am not harping. This is the first time I brought this issue here because when I said we ran into several you wanted an example. It is unfair to both ask for examples then when provided the examples claim the other poster is “harping” on it. You asked for the example.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

This is what drove some posters away from here. Any version of disagreement becomes “you aren’t with us so your against us”

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

Yup Oh man it’s good you’re here to tell me what is and isn’t clear at my table. Can you see the future too or just other peoples tables? Or are you just double down on pretending people pointing out issues are liers or at least dismissing them?!? Except in 2014 that target always kept it...

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

Hey look that was one of the things we suggested and got told we were “moaning and complaining” about. Okay you don’t have to look at it now or later that is up to you, but those of us looking at it now are sharing our experiences There isn’t much point in discussing things at all if we just...

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

The one we ran into was elegance (I think) that lets you choose to spend the die and if you fail you can keep the die to use it again. However the new system is not that you have the ability to spend it. So the confusion was who “keeps” it the bard or the target. I think there is one (it...

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

Spell recharge and spell level both changed from pact tactics. The second subclass get rewritten as powerful warlock cantrips that both are and are not warlock cantrips at the same time Armor prof changed You get 1 new invocation but have to spend several to get back your arcana

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

We could just not attack each other over disagreements like that and not state things in response to each other as if we were wrong or dumb or disingenuous. But that is a level of respect that enworld has lack for a while.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

Not with the 2014 warlock it isn’t. Okay. So you named one that doesn’t matter. Maybe you just don’t like people seeing things from a different point of view.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford Gives an Overview of the New Unearthed Arcana

If that is the goal they should not rewrite every class and every feat. So far we have 1 class with minimal difference (rogue) and one complete rewrite not at all compatible (warlock) and the others on the spectrum between them. Whether you can give them as a reaction or give them as a bonus...
