Depends on your situation. If you are going to be running 5e and will get good use out of the MM then buy it now. If money is a little tight then go with the cheaper option. I get them from amazon because I don't feel my local stores are doing anything for me to warrant my business.

Ya, 3e gets in trouble when it allows attribute bonuses to be used for other things. It is too easy in the game to get ridiculous attribute bonuses.

I haven't picked up the 5e one because I don't have a need yet. The 4e ones I gave away so no longer have them. The rest and lots of others I have.

Over the last year and a half the group played in a d6 campaign and an Edge of the Empire campaign and neither turned out well. I can fully understand their reluctance to try yet another new system they are not comfortable with.

This does not seem to be stopping any time soon either. We are playing Pathfinder and have been sin ce it came out but it is getting too much rules complexity for what we want. There are too many rules and rule options even for a game that does not seem to print that many rule oriented books...

They get tipped well because they get paid badly. It different state by state but in Ohio it is less then $4 an hour.

Well, she is very green and also she is not there because of any special skill set. She is there because Red will only cooperate with her and the FBI is lucky she is one of theirs.

At least this coming weekend there are some movies coming out I want to see. I want to see Maze Runner and Walk Among the Tombstones. Both are from books that I can see becoming successful movies.

I rarely tip at hotels. At a nice sit down restaurant though I'll typical tip between 20% to 30% put I will go lower then 10% for bad or slow service. There is one place I only go to three or four times a year yet the owner always remembers me. They have great service and food so I'll tip over...

I've got that game around here somewhere. I liked the idea but the rules did not impress me. I can't say for certain why as I haven't looked at it for a few years. It wasn't a game we were going to play no matter what I thought of it so I was just looking through it as a curiosity.

We stopped playing. Once the difference of the dice wears off it just becomes cumbersome. Mechanically characters rarely seem that different. The books seem expensive for the content. There just is not a lot of useful material in them.

I really like the show. Netflix just put up season one last week and I rewatched them all over the weekend. Things to keep in mind it is villain of the week show. The villains are more along the lines of unrealistic Hollywood villains in what they do and what they get away with. Reddington...

Sigil is Planescape and Pathindfinder can't do Wizard property. There has been a great Planescape fansite out there somewhere but I don't know if they did Pathfinder conversions or not.

One of these items might appear randomly in a treasure hoard. The idea that someone builds a character that needs a specific magical item is just asking for trouble. I think that's true for any edition of the game.
