It's been out for about two years now and still going strong. I would like a few more people to play against as I don't get to play enough. I don't do tournaments so I'm not as concerned with the meta game that gets a lot of talk on line. I need to try out more squads to fine a favorite.

I think its great. It means they have thought a little about the character and willing to modify the class to fit the character. I encourage players to be creative.

I think they stack. Having six giant quills in me will certainly hinder me more then just having one.

Also, the party has to realize if healing is a little less that they need to play a bit smarter. Character can attack at range and stay out of harms way or sneak around to get surprise so they don't get injured as easily.

It has been a while but I thought in Rules Cyclopedia it does say if you select the same non weapon prof again it gives you a bonus on the roll. That's what we always did but it could have been a house rule. It has been a couple decades since we played that.

In that situation I let everyone make a check. Just because they roll a die doesn't mean that they have a chance to succeed. I've had players roll a natural 20 and still fail at things.
