Armada vs X-Wing, which is better?

They really play a bit more differently then one might expect. X-wing is a game of dog fighting in space so precision movement is very important. Armada is about large ship combat so the movement of the big ships and even the squads does not need to be as precise. X-wing is usually last man...

Anybody like/play The World of Darkness?

In Changeling the Dreaming you don't play a true Fey either. You play a changeling which is a creature that bridges the gap between humans and Fey. In the book that details the end of Changeling the Dreaming the true Fey show up and pretty much destroy all the changeling as abominations.

With all the positive press it is amazing Mad Max looks like it is going to come in under budget.

Yes, they are called wizard or alchemist.

    Sports idiocy

It depends on the sports team. Not all of them are owned by rich people. Not all sports teams pay athletes lots of money as many are amateur athletes and I'm not just talking college.. People are fans of small club teams, college teams, and high school teams. There is a huge variety of sports...

    Sports idiocy

From the videos it looks like people are having fun doing that. I never participated in the vandal part of the celebrations but burning one owns couch in celebration can be enjoyable.

Fun like enjoyment and amusement. Alcohol seems to help though I myself don't participate in that part of the celebrations.

Anybody like/play The World of Darkness?

Changeling the Dreaming is my favorite RPG. It's a lovely mess of contradictions and bad rules but has enough creative ideas that a storyteller can really put together an impressive chronicle. It takes some work though and one has to have the right players for it. I still own a ton of World of...

    Roleplaying X-wing

Because even having all the different systems people like you still buy it all so it's not really costing them customers. I like it this way as a game isn't being limited of options by having to use another games dice. It really helps Armada and X-Wing to play and feel a lot more different.

    D&D 5E (2014) Current take on GWM/SS

Playing 5e without feats has been a great choice for our group. It really has helped avoid these petty little problems.

    D&D 5E (2014) Errata Unarmed Strike

I honestly don't think the Savage World fans, just to name one other group of the hobby, are embarrassed at all about this. I think that they might chuckle at it though.

    Monster of the Week

This was the only RPG I picked up at Origins this year. It's a game designed to simulate shows like X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or Supernatural. It reminds me like an easier to understand version of Hunter (Reckoning of Vigilance). The characters are done as playsets which is a neat idea...

    D&D 5E (2014) Array v 4d6: Punishment? Or overlooked data

Since fair has been talked about in this thread and what is and is not fair "You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e--combats are too "same-y"?

I have not noticed it but our games don't focus on the combats. Combat is something the party does when they failed at something else usually.

    D&D 5E (2014) Fighter Weapon Choice

We just have characters use what they want. Someone could use a shrimp fork for all I care as long as the players are having fun.

    D&D 5E (2014) Array v 4d6: Punishment? Or overlooked data

That is a cool idea. I've done the pooling attributes but we made it a draft so it was not collaborative which I think could be a real plus.
