    Dragonlance Dragonlance "Reimagined".

"Repulsive genocidal monsters" is about the best description of how gods have always worked in D&D I've ever heard.

    D&D 5E (2024) What form might subclasses take in 1DnD? (+)

My main beefs with 5e subclasses are 1) they don't start from 1st level, which impacts things like multiclassing, and 2) different wizard "specialists" all use the same spell list. So my biggest hope is for subclasses from level 1 and Diviners who are distinct from Evokers in a meaningful way...

Dragonlance Do you plan to buy Dragonlance?

I cannot overstate the impact the Dragonlance Chronicles had on my imagination and my concept of what books could do. I was young when I read the, maybe 11 or so, but nothing else has ever come close to that experience. I had the privilege of telling Margaret Weis all this directly a few weeks...

D&D General DMs: Do you review notes right before playing?

What, and appear prepared for a session? My players would react with confusion and anger!

Dragonlance Dragonlance Brings New Options to D&D

Why fight Soth when you can fight the (one and only) Tarrasque, which he apparently keeps in his closet? DL16 was a piece of work, for sure.

D&D 5E (2024) First playtest thread! One D&D Character Origins.

I also dig that sign language is a) listed and b) open to everyone. Let's see what the future brings!

"If you still have Inspiration when you start a Long Rest, you lose that Inspiration." I know that feeling.

    D&D 5E (2024) 'One D&D' Takes 5E to New & Digital Places

What I would.moat like to aee is subclasses at level one for all classes. In many respects, the delayed subclass is my single biggest tripe with 5e. I'd also like to see more distinct and discrete spell lists for different classes, but it looks like maybe they're moving in that direction. So...

Hey, I'll take what I can get at this point!

Planescape 5 New D&D Books Coming in 2023 -- Including Planescape!

As long as they insert crystal spheres and phlogiston into Planescape to compensate for crapping planar goofiness all over my Spelljammer, I'm in.

D&D General Poll: I’ve played or run a campaign in the following settings?

Thank you for keeping Al-Qadim and Forgotten Realms separate, as they should be. Some were tough. Can I guarantee that no Greyhawk material made it into my friend's homebrew? He loved Greyhawk, owned basically everything with a Greyhawk logo on it, but he didn't call his setting that. So have...

D&D General "I have played in or run a D&D campaign set in Eberron." (a poll)

Absolutely. Eberron neatly scratches that "but what if D&D actually made sense?" itch. It's flexible enough to allow basically any kind of campaign, and distinct enough to that it even made gnomes, halfling, and orcs interesting and integrated in the setting.

Paizo recent job listings and salaries.

The Springfield Massachusetts IBEW Local 7 Electrician's Union pays all premiums and reimburses all out of pocket medical expenses, including deductibles. I worked in a factory once (near Springfield) that didn't even reimburse those expenses, they straight up had hospitals bill them. That...

D&D General "I have Played in or Run a Campaign Set in the Forgotten Realms" (a poll)

If we count Al-Qadim, which I absolutely do not, then my answer is yes. But since I do not count Al-Qadim, and have always both run and viewed it as completely distinct from the Realms, my answer is a solid "no."

    D&D 5E (2014) "When Starting Up a New Campaign I Always Have a Session #0" (a poll)

Not only Always for me, but I even have what I think of as a "Session -1," in which I recruit players by describing the nature of the game/campaign I plan to run. As I tend to be a little off the dial in how I run games, I find this conversation helps prevent people from being unpleasantly...

Paizo recent job listings and salaries.

I'm not saying you're incorrect, but I will say that any candidate that isn't paying attention to the total package will walk away (or sign on) grossly misinformed. And under normal circumstances I agree with your first point as well, but I've both worked for a private company that covered...

Paizo recent job listings and salaries.

From the postings: "100% paid medical, dental, and vision for employee and immediate family." This benefit is huge, especially if by "100%" paid they mean the company covers co-pays, deductibles, and similar idiocy. Very few positions or companies will make that offer, but it's not too uncommon...
