I think that most of the time during combat is where usually the rules state clearly when to have or not have advantages. Out of combat however there are situations in which dm whim is more prominent

I always thought that elementals were ageless. Meaning that even if no more comes, there is no real dying of old age involved.

They could want a wand of water splash. It wouldnt do any damage, but they could do some pranks or play "splash the butt" tag.

I also feel thqt sorcerers really got the short end. Their spells known is less than bards or wizards prepared spells, the wizard outshines them by just ritual magic alone. Sure they get metamagic that is unique to them, but they run out of sorcery points way too fast. Besides a lot of sorcerer...
