Our group does point buy. It makes us players easier to create our characters on our own, no need for dm supervision. Although id like to try rolling at least once, so that i could concentrate fully on feats instead of pumping my stats.

Imo they could get smite x per short rest. Something like up to 3 times per short rest thorough their career. This of course assuming removal of spells.

Paladin could shine in small party compositions, fewer players needing to fill more roles. Also paladin is the only one whose spell list includes find steed... Check that out it is really powerful spell. Imo the only class who can take most out of mounted combat feat is paladin because of that...

Alt human is not too powerful imo. Despite the feat, they make really poor scouts because of the lack of darkvision. They cant see crap in total darkness. They also lack plenty of other things, such as natural poison resiliency, greater speed, better stat boosts (two times +1 is not the most...

I wouldnt allow kenders, as nobody would trust them and they wouldve been hunted and tortured to death. I would refluff everything or something along those lines, if a player wanted to play something of that stature.
