    Mulling simplified E6 class

Aust, for spellcasting I'm thinking about something where any spell you cast is Relevant Stat + Level vs. enemy's save. (Remember I use players roll all the dice in my campaign so this would be Enemy's Save+12 vs. Stat + Level + 1d20) I have a few different ideas about learning spells, the...

    Mulling simplified E6 class

Merry Christmas Hrothgar! I am thinking of it as an armor bonus because I don't want it to stack with anything. I dunno, I'm just thinking aloud here. I'm trying to think of what E6 would look like if D&D looked slightly different. I mean, instead of having this crosseyed rebalanced set...

    What are we?

Gosh... yeah, I'm a gamer. I have no special love of 3(.5)E and its various incarnations, although I do have a kidney-dialysis style attachment to it due to the fact that I sold my kidneys in 2003 to pay for the giant stack of books on my immediate right. Good times.

    I need help

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but what is it about the romance of the three kingdoms that you want out of the game? What kind of game is it? A one-shot?

    Mulling simplified E6 class

Brazeku, I use a LOT of feats in my E6 game. I'd also be allowing feats to get "0" 0th level slots, 0 1st level slots, and so on up to 3rd level slots (requiring spell level /2). Also I'd allow feats for favored enemies, turn attempts, and so on. Anything that was a feat in the UA generic...

defensive editorial... chris sounds demoralized. I feel for him, but the only way to make the criticism go away is to step up to the plate and make the magazine awesome.

    D&D campaign bible

Yeah, then I've totally been there. I'd recommend trying to get your campaign bible down to 4 pages, and have some color pictures on there to make it even more friendly. It seems kind of like a downer but I've found it REALLY satisfying to make up those 4 pages (or 8 pages if I do lots of...

    D&D campaign bible

OK this is probably the hardest and most important question of all: How much do your players usually read before a campaign?

I like it when my PC dies! Share your coolest death!

My Warlock Dzaulgrandcntsh (or "Saul" as the other players liked to say) was slain by the bone fragments of another PC's exploding corpse. The spell was cast by a Cleric of Pelor who another PC had given the Book of Vile Darkness to keep it out of the wrong hands.

    Coolest part of your homebrew?

The Great Hundred is a... (roll 1d6) 1. massively collaborative situation project. 2. setting for many systems. 3. situation-heavy fantasy project. 4. place where you can yoink and be yoinked from in return. 5. project that saves cool ideas from being forgotten. 6. lauchpad for fantasy stories.

He's pretty much in despair over them, but Rod is going to suggest something backwards that might make it work. We really won't know if it's viable until they playtest it.
