    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

Vecna is an old fox. But once you become a god you seem to start being outsmarted by mortals. The more power you have the more people there are that want to take it away. And for an upstart Lich god that number is legion. Hated by mortals, liches that want to be what he is, and gods that don’t...

    D&D 5E (2014) Modifying/Expanding Ritual Casting

Eh. For rituals I would just wing it as needed rather than hard code it. Although good rules of thumb may be helpful. I think the main key to a ritual is that it can’t be done in combat and flavor. I don’t care if it is 30 minutes or 60 minutes. I want to know what rare item they need for it and...

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

And Chris Perkins is a very talented researcher. I loved his work on Star Wars. He really understands the settings he works on. I think they guy could do any setting given the chance.

    D&D 5E (2014) Burning books question

I’ve had lots of wizard towers burned by angry mobs of peasants and quite a few barbarians burning cities and their libraries to the ground. As well as evil priests burning good religious temples and their books to the ground.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

I would rather see Azalin manipulating Vecna. But other than that I like it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

It is meant to be a Teaser. They want people guessing and speculating. I don’t thing it is DL, but there is a connection, just not strong enough to me.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

Not that I would be upset at playing a wizard of high sorcery drawing power from the red moon lunitari or slaying draconian.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

I don’t think that logic applies to d&d. I could be wrong. But I would put money on it not being dragoblance. And I like dragonlance alot. Now if his hint was if you are Tracy and Laura Hickman fans.... I would agree with you. basically he didn’t refer to the authors. He referred to Strahd...

    D&D 5E (2014) Are 5e Saving Throws Boring?

I just fixed the math error myself to get the same probability. That was simple enough. It’s just my players prefer the enemies make the saving throw roll.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

yes because the first thing a person will think of when given strahd as a hint is dragonlance.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

Yeah I think that was done before lol. Great set of adventures to play as I love ravenloft and planescape and all the settings. I personally think someone posting earlier had a great idea. And that is to do something like DC’s crisis with all the settings. I would love to see a...

    D&D 5E (2014) Are 5e Saving Throws Boring?

It’s a very simple fix that doesn’t change the math of the game. However I have one player that feels he is jinxed to roll bad and hates the idea. He would prefer to never roll a die and let the DM do it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Are 5e Saving Throws Boring?

I’ve been experimenting with calling certain saves a system shock. Instead of make a con save. I been telling players to make a system shock. Instead of will save I been telling players to make. Sanity check. Instead of a dex save I been telling players to dodge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins drops 2020 hint!

First. Strahd and barovia are great. Second. Everyone should play the module “Hour of the Knife”. It is set in the domain Zherisia in the city of Paridon. PAridon is basically Victorian London or very similar.
