D&D General Is character class an in-world concept in your campaigns?

Berserkers were kind of a real world class in Scandinavia. But. You can build games with societies that have caste systems where every member of a certain caste is the same class. They can be fun games.

What's the best and worst D&D book you own from any edition?

Mainly the prose. They have gotten better at writing dungeon masters guides over 40 years. Just remember Gygax didn’t have a template to improve upon.

What's the best and worst D&D book you own from any edition?

I love this list just to see what people are saying. I so agree with the d&d rules cyclopedia. Your assessment of the 1E DMG shocks me. But to each his own. Love this thread.

What's the best and worst D&D book you own from any edition?

D&D 5E (2014) PHB Errata Nerf Unarmed Strikes!? WHY??? :(

There’s just different camps of people. I actually want stricter rules on unarmed attacks. I don’t want them being able to damage a lion, elephant, gorilla, or even a chimpanzee. I actually enjoy reading what different people want in the game out of unarmed fighting.
