Dungeons & Dragons Comments On Possibility of Future Movie Projects

Remember, we have no context for that top 10. It could be revenue, or it could be views. If it is views, it could be new purchases, or rentals, or just views in general. Anything besides new purchases or rentals doesn't inherently mean more revenue.

Dungeons & Dragons Comments On Possibility of Future Movie Projects

I don't know if you got an answer yet, but total box office was about $208 million.

Dungeons & Dragons Comments On Possibility of Future Movie Projects

The production budget was $150 million. Paramount also spent $61 million marketing it. So it cost at least $211 million. Also, the gross box office was about $208 million, but that is before being split between the studios and the theaters. Even if the studios got 2/3 of that, that would be...

D&D General Hasbro enters gambling deal using Dungeons & Dragons intellectual property

Games Global's website is 18+, so this should, in theory, not prey upon minors, but it is still feeding on a harmful addiction. Luckily (?), there are a bunch of different games there already, so this shouldn't be prominent. That said, it would not surprise me for WOTC to advertise this game...

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

Plus, it should notify you that you are done, and prompt you to review your statements before submission.

They also should have gone with 1k to 1.5k character limits for their feedback boxes, as properly listing a problem can be difficult to do, especially with only 500 characters to work with.

Also, could you quote or reference where that is stated, as the Dart ranged weapon does not list either Ammunition or Ranged, and no weapon lists Ranged, except by listing a range in parentheses.

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

The Ranged property makes sense because the Lightning Launcher is a ranged weapon. The Thrown property doesn't make sense, because there is no automatic retrieval included in the feature, so the Artificer would need to go get the Launcher every time they use it.

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

Even worse, someone on Reddit pointed out that the UA Lightning Launcher has the Thrown property. I think it is to avoid describing it with many limbs, to avoid letting it grapple many creatures at once, or wield/wear many things at once. It really would just be easier to say "You determine the...

Except it is Armorer and Battle Smith, not Weaponsmith.

Indeed, they removed that option, and reinforced that removal by stating "You determine its appearance, which includes your choice of legs or wheels."

Level Up Gateway Here’s What You’re Building On Level Up Gateway

Given the class section, I take it that Artificers and other content from Gate Pass isn't in Gateway yet?

Level Up (A5E) A very basic character builder

This is just Morrus's attempt at a character builder, rather than the full official character builder for A5e, so it likely won't have much more to it. That said, it is a very good attempt.

D&D Movie/TV DADHAT becomes Netflix Global Hit

I don't doubt that HAT reached the profitable stage, that seemed inevitable given its critical popularity. The question is: How long did it take? If it were 1-3 months, that should be easy justification for more production. If it were 4-6 months, that would be a hard sell. Even longer...

@Zardnaar @bedir than Just some financial number reminders/details-I-have-found: Production = $150M, Paramount marketing = $61M, Hasbro marketing = unknown So, total cost was >= $211M Total box office = ~$208M Amazon initial digital purchase (for 3 weeks) = $25 Amazon initial rental...

D&D 5E (2024) The New DM Tools In The New Dungeon Master's Guide

That is obviously a pistol-grip pose, so I am guessing that the artwork originally featured a pistol, then the artist was told a shotgun would look better, but they couldn't or wouldn't alter the grip (in time).

    D&D General D & D height comparison

I assume you are referring to pre-5e, because this isn't true in 5e or 2024 5e revised. In both of them, small uses the same carrying capacity multiplier as medium. (page 176 in 2014 PHB; page 362 in 2024 PHB)

D&D General What's the safest place to live in the Forgotten Realms?

@Cergorach Honestly, at this point, can you just list the specific criteria that would lead you to decide 'safe'? It seems like you are deliberately searching for any downside, regardless of what is said. If some place is peaceful now, you go through its history for hazards. If there is no...

D&D Movie/TV Update: new theaters added. See the D&D Movie Wednesday and get a Faerun cloth map!

I was recently looking at the Sword Coast and Faerun, and this cloth map is pre-5e in geographic structure. I think it is closest to the 3e map of Faerun. As to the differences between 3e and 5e: look east from the Moonshae Isles to Turmish on this map, then do so for the Sword Coast map in SCAG.

D&D General What's the safest place to live in the Forgotten Realms?

Maybe Turmish? Very interesting location. I thought the following passage from the Forgotten Realms wiki page was very interesting:
