Somebody on the phpBB forum started a really cool thread called "Big List of Aspects" asking posters to post their Game/Situational/Character Aspects, Advantages and Boosts. I think it's a really good idea for a thread. If you'd like to contribute, check it out at...
The forum is up and running, and can be found at:

Come join in the discussions!
Also, I'm looking for moderators, so if you're interested, PM me there. I use Shai (the Egyptian god of Fate) as my moniker there.
Hi, gang. I just wanted to announce that I've begun a forum for discussing the FATE system and all its games.
You can join at:

Also, since the forum is brand-spankin' new, there are admin posts available.
Hope to see you there.

Yeah, that was a typo...I fixed it to "Goldberry." Thanks.
She's at the very least a nature spirit. Some speculate she may be a lesser Maia, but I stuck her on there in a very small box to distinguish her from the identified Maiar.
For those of you who can't keep all the names of the Ainur/Valar/Maiar straight in the Silmarillion, maybe this will help:

Enjoy!
I have to second the Ars Magica recommendation, but with two caveats: it's great for a game centered around Wizards, like World of Darkness's Mage game (which is Ars's intention), but not so great for other character archetypes. It definitely has the best magic system I've ever seen. The...
That's perfect. Thanks, Dioltach.
Has anyone ever made any homebrewed stuff for Mórenorë / Hyarmenor?
I'm thinking of using the old D&D module Isle of Dread for a campaign set there.
Any MERP Supplements for Mórenorë / Hyarmenor?
I know there are MERP supplements that flesh out the Harad and Far Harad, Tolkien's versions of the East and Far East (which he mentions in passing but never develops), but are there any dedicated to the land of Mórenorë or Hyarmenor, which is...

I'm running a game set in Tolkien's Second Age (circa II 1598 - 1599) using the FATE system. I've dedicated a website to the game, if you're interested:

One of the players is playing, as she described it when she first gave me her character concept...
I'm with you on this, Chris. I was probably only about 13 or 14 when I played this, and I wasn't very discriminating at that age, but even then I was turned off by the big reveal about the crashed spaceship. I didn't like the mixing of genres...the sci-fi elements in my fantasy game.
Now...
It seems to me that no one has ever found the "right" system for a game set in Tolkien's legendarium. One often expresses a preferred system, but invariably also expresses some complaint about it too.
I'm about to begin running a game set in Tolkien's legendarium (starting date: II 1599)...
So, now on YouTube they have these things called playlists, which are apparently compilations of videos. So, if you click on a playlist, you can let all the videos in the playlist play one after the other with a few commercial ads thrown in between videos occasionally...although I recently...
But I guess that's my question...what criteria does one use to determine which skill is more appropriate for watercraft? How would the campaign setting change which skill is more appropriate?
Question #2: Spin...as I understand it, per the Spirit of the Century book, a successful defense...
123. Intrepid jewelers return to town with gems they acquired in a set of heretofore undiscovered ruins several miles to the north. SOME HORRIBLE THINGS FOLLOWED THEM BACK.
I came across this article on the RPGNet Wiki entitled "How to Run:Star Wars Saga Edition." Hopefully, this will help you; I've cut and pasted the contents here:
