New Edition of Mutants & Masterminds Coming Soon, Playtest Launches at End of Month

M&M is my favorite superhero system, and it's in a definite need of an update. The optimist in me wants it to be good and get a timely release. However, the Valiant Adventures KickStarter is way past due. Green Ronin has a lot of irons in the fire, so being split between so many projects slows...

    D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood is doing a Let's Play of Baldur's Gate 3 [Spoilers obviously]

Time for Part 5! Highlights: Their latest accomplishment at the end of the video was rescuing Halsin. They haven’t found Karlach yet. Ed didn’t want to interrupt the ogre and bugbear’s barnyard fun, but chat convinced him to open the door. Ever the ethical pervert, he opted to have the...

Pathfinder 2E Which book should I pick up next?

Thank you all for your advice! I'm leaning towards Mwangi Expanse now.

Pathfinder 2E Cerulean Seas 2nd edition

A bit of thread necromancy, but was a big fan of the setting back during the PF 1e days. I'm hoping that the 2e update is good. It does have a rather low amount of funds for comparative crowdfunded projects. Makes me think they're going to reuse art assets and layout, but with updated mechanics.

Pathfinder 2E Which book should I pick up next?

Sometime this month I'll finish reading the NPC Core, which will be the final of the Remasters for me. I've found the books quite enjoyable reads, but wish to delve more into the world of Golarion via the Lost Omens line. I already read the World Guide, but what book should I pick up afterwards...

D&D General [Let's Read] Playable Monster Sourcebooks

Dragons and the Lux Aeterna Ritual is a purely flavor chapter, written from the in-character perspective of Kallizandrex, an aeternal green dragon scholar. This chapter discusses each of the 45 dragon families' views and approaches to the ritual, and in the case of Battlezoo's more original...

D&D General [Let's Read] Playable Monster Sourcebooks

By far the meatiest and lengthiest part of the character creation options, Draconic Gifts for D&D and Feats for Pathfinder allow one to fine-tune one's dragon PC with just a little bit of everything. As can be expected, a lot of the traits that would be part of the Dragon class (and some...

    D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood is doing a Let's Play of Baldur's Gate 3 [Spoilers obviously]

Part 4 is out! The bulk of the video takes place in the Blighted Village. Some highlights: 1. Ivan (the guy playing for Ed) and Ed believe that if Halsin's still alive, he'd be hiding in the wilderness as a wildshaped animal, so they get really into talking to all the animals they can. 2...

D&D General [Let's Read] Playable Monster Sourcebooks

Now that we covered the dragon as a “race,” we will now cover the class-focused building blocks for character creation as well as a new Versatile Heritage. The two systems have quite a bit of different content. The D&D version has a new Dragon class with two subclasses, while in Pathfinder the...

Roll For Combat Storefront (PDF & Hardcover, both systems) Drive-Thru RPG Storefront (D&D 5th Edition) Drive-Thru RPG Storefront (Pathfinder 2nd Edition) As has been evidenced in this very thread, the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood is doing a Let's Play of Baldur's Gate 3 [Spoilers obviously]

Part 2 is up now. In this one they explore the Overgrown Ruins/Dank Crypt dungeon. They recruited Astarion and Gale, and combined with Shadowheart they have a full party now. Some brief observations: 1. Ed is very eager to find Laezel and likes Shadowheart quite a bit. He doesn't seem as...

    D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood is doing a Let's Play of Baldur's Gate 3 [Spoilers obviously]

He finished streaming earlier today. Lasted about 3 hours. Just reached 2nd level and cleared the nautiloid. His character is a female githyanki wizard, which is quite the novel choice. At the very least she'll be able to turtle up in medium armor! As it's his first time playing, the progress...

D&D 5E (2014) [Let's Read] Faster Purple Worm, Kill Kill! A 5e anthology of TPK adventures

Everybody Dies in a Dungeon is a subversion of the typical adventure, where the PCs are goblins guarding a throne room in a dungeon which has a secret door to the treasure vault. The adventure is linear and passive in that the PCs are standing guard as they receive word from a goblin messenger...

D&D 5E (2014) [Let's Read] Faster Purple Worm, Kill Kill! A 5e anthology of TPK adventures

Yes, 11 out of 15 of the adventures to be exact. I should note that said maps range from simplistic single rooms for a particular battle to multi-room dungeon crawls, depending on the particulars of the adventure. The adventures with maps are Costume Ball, Barovia, Eye of the Beholder...

D&D 5E (2014) [Let's Read] Faster Purple Worm, Kill Kill! A 5e anthology of TPK adventures

It’s been a while since I last posted. Upper back pain threw off my schedule, but now I’m feeling better enough to continue. Everybody Dies at the Circus has the PCs hired by Lord MacGuffin (haha) to look for his missing children, the twins Lima and Lorelai. Via an alliance with the twins’...

D&D 5E (2014) [Let's Read] Faster Purple Worm, Kill Kill! A 5e anthology of TPK adventures

Everybody Dies on a Squid takes place in the city of Waterdeep in the Forgotten Realms, where the PCs are members of the city watch investigating an unannounced ship that docked in the harbor during the middle of the night. The ship’s crew are cultists serving a mind flayer colony, who hopes to...

Paizo How many Pathfinder video games are there/being planned?

Note: No single tag is ideal for this subject, so I picked Paizo. I recently got Dawnsbury Days on Steam, which made me notice that there's quite a few video games for this ttrpg system/setting. The most well-known ones are Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous by Owlcat. BKOM Studios is...

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

It's one thing to disagree on say, the flat tax rate or what industries should be nationalized. It's another to make your political decisions based on a willingness to oppress and kill others based on uncontrollable traits they are born with. I guarantee you, a lot of gamers don't care as much...
