D&D 5E (2014) [GUIDE] A party without music is lame: A Bard Guide

I see Enthrall as more of a booster to another player's Stealth/Sleight of Hand roll. You can, for instance, talk to a guy on the tavern and infect him with your ideas about love and magic so that he won't notice your Thief buddy taking all his cash. Or ask a guard for directions and confuse...

D&D 5E (2014) Bellator Arcana - The Eldritch Knight Guide

Yep. I can't imagine something like a Minotaur being intelligent just because of the mazes, but apparently the guys at Wizards can! :DAlso makes you wonder why they would use any weapon at all, since their horns are as good as one.

    D&D 5E (2014) Two Weapon Fighting

If you have no constant use for a bonus action and don't want a shield, it's good. Otherwise, problems arise very quickly. At low levels, I say it's the best fighting style, but it gets to be the worst at higher ones. Also remember that you can add DEX to damage in 3.5, seems to me you're...

    D&D 5E (2014) Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

Pretty much what has already been said, you would miss on Fighting Style and extra DPR than a normal ranger. Also, Hunter's Mark is more important than many would judge, and defensively you wouldn't compare (due to the Ranger's Defensive Tactics and bigger hit die). But it's a good "flutist of...

D&D 5E (2014) [GUIDE] Dealing Death: Handbook of the True Assassin

Great guide! That being said, I feel you're underselling Dual Wielder; it's not only about another point of average damage, but +1AC (which can never be underestimated). Plus, drawing two weapons at the same time is very helpful in social situations, such as when you have to use Deception to...

D&D 5E (2014) Bellator Arcana - The Eldritch Knight Guide

I haven't included anything that's not in books to make the guide more reliable, but since both classes would boost INT it's certainly viable.

Seeking Input on Eldritch Knight Build

If you're planning to take Resilient (WIS), you might leave your Wisdom at 9, or 11. So, cantrips. If you're not going for SCAG it's pretty much an open choice, with at least one ranged cantrip required for versatility. I'd recommend Frostbite: the disadvantage can help you or your friends to...

    D&D 5E (2014) [Guide] Small size Beastmaster

Pteradonon deserves a special mention; it's one of the few pets that give a BM the potential of a Hunter. With it you can avoid melee completely, travel easily, and adding Pass Without Trace in the mix you become a stealth helicopter, the perfect scout for outdoor adventures.

D&D 5E (2014) Help with picking Bard spells

If you're not using a shield, I'd go for Resilient (CON) instead of War Caster; making a CON save can really save you, and it helps with concentration as well. As a Lore Bard, you're the second best dispeller in the game (for Jack of All Trades), so sure, why not. Scorching Ray is not on the...

D&D 5E (2014) [GUIDE] By your Powers Combined: A Land Druid Handbook

One more thing: Create Food and Water is a great spell. Not to create food for the party, of course - everybody should have some rations and a waterskin - but it endears you to common folk who are usually very glad with some free food, and to community rulers as well (you're feeding their...

D&D 5E (2014) Help with picking Bard spells

    - Feather Fall has to go; it's too situational for a spell-starved Bard, and the Monk should have Slow Fall (making it less useful). Go for Dissonant Whispers (damage) or Detect Magic (utility). - I would take Enhance Ability, it's very versatile. - I'm assuming you're at level 8, so you can...

    D&D 5E (2014) Criminal Duel-Wielding Ranger Build

"Half-Human Half-Drow" What? Anyway, dual-wielding is decent for rangers due to Hunter's Mark, but I'd check your group composition: if there's no one in the back lines, an archer is good (they get better spells, anyway). If your campaign is more focused on boss fights, take Colossus Slayer...

    D&D 5E (2014) A Collection of Guides - A Library of Character Builds

I don't know what are your criteria, or if I'm even allowed to post here, but if you think it's worth it put my EK guide in the fighter section too. Maybe it helps someone. www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?479648-Bellator-Arcana-The-Eldritch-Knight-Guide

D&D 5E (2014) Bardic Lore: A Basic College of Lore Bard Guide

It's important to note that Jack of All Trades applies to Counterspell/Dispel Magic, making the Bard better with these spells than anyone other than an Abjurer.

D&D 5E (2014) Bellator Arcana - The Eldritch Knight Guide

    1) Actually, I would go to level 11 as pure Fighter first before going Wizard; Eldritch Strike and the third attack make it all worthwhile. After that, the fighter doesn't get many defining class features (at least, nothing as good as Portent, for example). 2) By RAW, each crit would be dealing...

Seeking Input on Eldritch Knight Build

My two cents: 1) Don't go for Magic Initiate. If you intend to cast with a shield and/or never lose concentration, go for War Caster instead. 2) When you get Eldritch Strike, Hold Person will be essential: attack a humanoid on the first turn, then on the second Action Surge to cast it (they...

D&D 5E (2014) [GUIDE] By your Powers Combined: A Land Druid Handbook

Good one! I can suggest the inclusions of Aasimars and Eladrins (both in the DMG). Aasimars boost your WIS and give you two resistances, along with some light-like spells. Eladrins have Misty Step 1/day, which is timelessly good. Keep up the good work.

D&D 5E (2014) Bellator Arcana - The Eldritch Knight Guide

You're right, but the feat helps with material components: since you can use the same hand for them as the one for somatic components and the feat removes the necessity for a hand, I'm assuming you can hold the component pouch with your shield. Also, cool >>>>>>>> optimized.

D&D 5E (2014) Bellator Arcana - The Eldritch Knight Guide

The attack cantrips become gold when their specific situations arise (defending/hitting two foes), otherwise they're blue. At 7-10, using them is very good. At 11-16, trading 2d8 for 1d8 or higher + STR/DEX is kind of an even trade, but an extra attack means another chance to hit, too (another...

D&D 5E (2014) Bellator Arcana - The Eldritch Knight Guide

For a shielded EK, the main things you'd be missing are Absorb Elements (from Elemental Evil, to avoid area), War Caster and Resilient (Wisdom). It's doable, but losing a lot of potential. Still, I don't know why any DM would ban feats, or even multiclassing for that matter.
