Hasbro has been doing these Direct programs for a couple of years now.

I agree, look how long it took them to integrate a die roller and a player app. My biggest fear was losing all of that material when D&D 2024 rolls out. This, this I like.

Our group shared the same fear. We are all in on the DnD Beyond and that was a fair amount of gold.

Old Gods has already broken $500k. I fell in love with this podcast at the beginning of the year and I'm glad its doing so well.

The problem is that our buying habits reinforce the opposite of what we are discussing. We buy sequels/prequels/spin-offs better than we buy new IPs.

I think what we all know, but Hollywood doesn't seem to is that any property can be successful if the people involved understand it and take the proper approach with the quality of the product. Sadly, quantity seems to be what makes money for Hollywood.

Depends on the session at our table. Some sessions are 0% combat and some are 90%, but we try to make sure that we laugh 100% of the time.
