    How is 2nd Edition?

Isn't that currently Fun™ which is expected to evolve into Fun®?

    How is 2nd Edition?

Dark Sun was one of the all time coolest settings. Gritty, deadly, and full of psionic-mage-dragonny coolness. I ran a Spelljammer campaign for about seven years. Great fun. Hit all the major campaign setting crystal spheres during it, though Realmspace was the primary center of the campaign...

    How is 2nd Edition?

Ahhh, I see what you're saying. But Al Qadim is not about an Earth Arabic culture. It's loosely based on ancient myths from the region (from literally centuries prior to anything resembling current culture). This is similar to what's done with myths from western and Eastern regions, too. It's...

    How is 2nd Edition?

Uh. Wow. By that logic, all Western people depicted in Dungeons and Dragons are murderous thieves. Same with Asian people (Kara-Tur) Maybe this game isn't for you.

    How is 2nd Edition?

Wow, I always considered Al Qadim as perhaps one of the best settings in 2E.

    How is 2nd Edition?

It was a great idea to begin with and fell off the promise by the third supplement (Dragonlance). That said, since it's all in PDF format now, it 100% fulfills its promise if you're willing to do some manipulation. I've got just about every 2E monster published in all the various Monstrous...

    How is 2nd Edition?

I play 2E and to this day it's still my favorite edition. That said, nearly the entire run is available to this day in PDF form through ENWorld/RPGNow at 4.95/item. Sticking with the Core is your best bet, especially if you've never played it. I pick and choose bits and pieces from teh splat...

How Close do your Minis Need to Match?

I try to match as closely as possible. I even buy new monster minis that look nothing at all like anything from any D&D mostrous compendium or manual. After I paint them up, I create new stats for the mini and end up with a monster nobody else's game ever has. I love minis. I spend more time...

It is, in fact, a cave that is actually the inside of a super huge geode. Here's a smaller geode:

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

Only as part of an out of court settlement over the re-publishing of somebody else's intellectual property. :D I still have my Dragon Magazine CD-Rom set.

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

Look to the simplest answer. Competition. You don't want older editions competing with your current flagship.

Top 10 Reasons Why I Just Don't Care

I must take great exception at this list for leaving out 1.5E (Unearthed Arcana basically was a dot edition and who doesn't like Barbarians, Cavaliers, and Thief Acrobats?) as well as 2.5E (Player's Options and the DM Option books were definitely a dot release). For SHAME! /sarcasm

    2e Advice and Resources

Three letters. P D F You can get everything you need via multiple outlets. I use Paizo. Also, Core Rules 2 CD-Rom plus the Expansion if you can at all get it. Buying PDFs lets you copy and paste most of what you need directly into the program. The 2E psionics system works very well in Dark Sun.

Top Ten Reasons AD&D Is Fun

I was one of those geeks constantly spending money on the releases put out. I've got a nearly complete run of the 2E materials all in boxes. I used maybe 35% during the time 2E was actively being published. This was why I never saw a reason to switch to 3.xE and still see little reason to...

D&D minis Harbinger complete set - still wanted by people?

Either option would require the work of digging out that storage box.

D&D minis Harbinger complete set - still wanted by people?

I bought a Harbinger Starter set and a Dragoneye booster pack way back when. I opened the boxes, saw the quality, left them all in their little plastic bags, threw the boxes into a bigger storage box, and haven't look at the things since.

D&D minis Harbinger complete set - still wanted by people?

I've seen the Harbinger minis. Personally, I wouldn't spend three cents per mini for them.
