We had debate in another thread about that. And it works for a mastiff, cause like a fellow poster said "we know about dogs". But what about the creatures that we dont know about? Does the "flying carnivorous squirrel"* have a +5 Perception cause of hearing? Smell? Eagle Eyes? Intuition...

I love the 5' fly speed for the owlbear. But they put this in because its fun and cool, and took away Keen Senses from dogs. The dissonance is reverberating.

In a way, yes. However I look at alt timeline worlds as transient, things eventually flow back into the main timeline (from a cosmic perspective). But its not "implementing a multiverse" in that I dont play/think of it that way. I plan the universe etc. Then if I need an alt world for one...

Yeah, I have one "universe" full of galaxies and star systems and worlds with varying degrees of magic, all coexisting. Then I have the "alt timeline" worlds that are "what if" scenarios and home campaign variations.

I think its because we can add salt and pepper to taste. Some of the older stat blocks had abilties that I had to strike out. So six in one hand and a half dozen in the other I guess.

I can see if Abeir was in another dimension and it "came back". But how would being its own planet in a separate orbit make coming back possible?
