The Farland Site got a facelift

Yeah, so I made a cool new banner all by my little self on photoshop, and then I completely redesigned the rest of the site. Take a look and tell me what you think. Only constructive criticism please.

Judge this feat: Rolling whirlwind attack

In my opinion, adding any ranks of tumble as a prequisite is repetitive. If they don't have a high tumble skill, they won't be able to use the feat. Plus I want this to be a fighter feat.

Judge this feat: Rolling whirlwind attack

So it's not a bad idea, is what I'm sensing here. Is that right?

Judge this feat: Rolling whirlwind attack

I was thinking of feats for high level fighters, and I thought of this. Here's where you come in. Is the feat balanced? Does it replicate a feat or ability that I am not aware of? Rolling Whirlwind Attack [General] You can strike nearby opponents in an amazing spinning tumble attack...

    History Buffs: What if?

The Romans without mithraism or Greek influence would have a very nebulous religion similar to their original one. They would worship noumena or unnamed spirits for the most part. In fact religion would be a relatively small part of their lives compared to most people in the world.

Time to Toot My Own Horn *toot toot*

Great review, and it looks really useful. I think I'll buy it.

    gamer body image/self image

I don't know about that... I disagree with this. From my own personal experience (both with myself and with those I have gamed with) I don't believe that gamers have a higher degree of self-hatred than others. I think that love of gaming is just a stronger expression of the same phenomenon...

Farland has been updated for June

Aww shucks. Thanks, Mark. It's nice when one's hard work is appreciated. In all fairness, I have to say that Janik from DM Genie did the coding. I did the system.

Farland has been updated for June

Greetings all! The June update has arrived. It consists of: 1. A new adventure for third level characters, useable in any campaign, called "The Quick and the Dead." I also present it in DM Genie format. 2. A new table for generating annual events in a campaign world, to give the PCs...

Do these Riddles work? MY PLAYERS STAY OUT!

Riddle One Number one almost fits the answer "zero" or "nothing," except for the last line.

Can bad character names kill the campaign.

I agree that bad, inappropriate names do hurt a campaign's feel, if it is a serious campaign. I disagree with the name Brian being inappropriate, though, at least in a campaign with a European feel to it. The name Brian is probably 1000 years old in real life. Check the list of names in the...

Entangle Sorry if someone already asked this, but have there been any changes to the spell Entangle?

I've got the 3.5 PHB in front of me

I think the guys been pretty convincing, and this should put to rest all those nagging "3.5 is so different it'll wreck my campaign" threads. Nothing looks too terribly extreme. In fact, I'm pretty excited.

[art, hosted] Pozas unveils new style! Plus Horror!

Claudio, I have found your work to be top-notch-- among if not the best D&D illustrations I have seen on the web. As a matter of fact, many of the sketches I did on my site were patterned after or inspired by your stuff. Thanks, and keep turning the stuff out!

    Mass Combat

Thanks Sabaron. And to answer your question: sure there is. The 6-8 hour time block was semi-arbitrary and the system is built for flexibility. Changing the time blocks will affect nothing in either the program or the system, so just tell your players that each roll combat roll represents a...
