In 5E, advantage is a substantial bonus: in most cases equivalent to a +4 or +5. And 5E has gotten away from fixed bonuses for the most part.

I'd start my rivers at the base of mountains and I would make them look more tapered at the top. Good point about glaciers.

Nice job with it, but something jumps out at me: on your maps, your rivers are wonky. Rivers start from rain run-off or snow melt. They definitely don't start from mountain lakes, I would say. But all in all, nice job.

I think it is over-powered, possibly because the duration is way too long. The concentration mechanism is one of the main balancing effects for spell-casters in 5E, and I think this spell destroys that balance.

I feel terrible for the folks laid off but I have to tell you the fact that they aren't planning to crap out splat books makes me happy. We need more adventures and settings. We don't need more classes, spells, items, etc. It is that kind of power creep that always ruins the edition.

Glad it worked for you. I wouldn't use it, because I do feel it complicates the system and is overly powerful (ruin a spell and deal damage)!
