How many sets do you have? How many would you recommend?

I am male and have never played a female character. I am not opposed to the idea but I have never had a reason to. I will play dwarves or elves for their mechanics or for story reasons. Mechanics don't give me a reason to go female and I have never considered a story option that wouldn't work...

This is one many people seem to get wrong (or houserule it in). In 5e if you start your turn hidden nothing in the rules allow you the stay hidden for the rest of the turn. If you reveal yourself during your turn then you aren't hidden anymore.

Yes limiting to one bonus action will help. Also, there is nothing wrong with being behind cover and not hidden.

I don't think you did anything wrong. The PCs mistakes were to rest in a hostile environment and then be rude to the witch.

Sounds like the party needs a clan of ninjas that show up and use the same tactic from time to time. But it if you can't target the Rogue then that is more damage for the rest of the party.

I just stared using this (I am joining a new group soon and it will be my first time in 5e as a player -- as opposed to a DM). Creating the character was pretty easy. It has the SRD stuff and adding other stuff is pretty easy.

How wôuld you compare and contrast this system with FFG Star Wars? What makes it the superior SW game?

I think I may like Rogue One more than TFA. I loved TFA but was a little disappointed that it rehashed much of the original trilogy. Very excited about Rogue One.

I wasn't around any adults that thought D&D either. One of my friends'mother played with us.

Unless there is evidence to the contrary I think it is reasonable to assume when someone participates in a fight with a sword that the intent is to kill.

In the original post the bouncer wasn't trying to breakup a fight. He tried to kill the PC.

But society has decided that emus can fly and the government has affirmed that decision into law so it must be true. :)
