    D&D 5E (2014) barkskin

I think shield's help because they are a +2 to AC and the "less than" removes any dex penalties. I think......

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock/Paladin/Sorcerer Question

So, if you are a Warlock 4/ Paladin 2/ Sorcerer 2: You have 2 Warlock Spells you can cast per short rest. Both Spells can be cast as 2nd level spells. You cast your other spells as a 3rd level caster meaning four (4) 1st level slots and two (2) second level slots. Plus two sorcery points...

    D&D 5E (2014) Unintended consequence of a small change?

Playing a Paladin of Bahamut Thinking about changing the Divine Sense from detecting fiends, undead and <insert third thing I forgot here> to just detecting evil dragon and dragonkin. Also instead of detecting desecrated areas into Dragon Lair or influenced area. This seems like a simple...

D&D 5E (2014) Legendary, Lair, and BOSS Actions

I made a CR 4 with Legendary Actions. My base formula was: Cantrip/Extra Attack - 1 action 1st level spell- 2 actions 2nd level spell- 3 actions

D&D 5E (2014) No Armor: Addiing Proficiency to AC

It actually makes the AC spells (Mage Armor, Shield, Shield of Faith) even better. It's a neat dynamic twist that the spell casters will have the highest AC.

D&D 5E (2014) No Armor: Addiing Proficiency to AC

Just remove the monk and barbarian class. The whole point of them getting the 2nd stat modifier to AC is so that they can have a competitive AC, if no one is wearing armor and everyone gets their profiency. literally every class will have similar AC. Bounded it is!

    D&D 5E (2014) Opportunity Attacks and Spells

It does say that, somewhere. What we didn't know was what counts as forced movement? Is it something like a shove where someone elses action cause the movement or something like the fear spell counts. Is there a mechanical difference?

    D&D 5E (2014) Opportunity Attacks and Spells

Last night our bard cast a spell (the name escapes me) that caused his opponent to use his reaction and run away from him. He started in base to base contact, does the bard get to take an Attack of Opportunity against the fleeing opponent?

D&D 5E (2014) So why no PDFs? Is their fear of piracy -that- bad?

You would and I would too but there aren't enough of us (In WOTC opinion) to make up for the people who would ONLY but the PDF. There would literally need to be TWICE as many people who buy both book and pdf then people who just buy the PDF for them to maximize revenue. I don't believe...

D&D 5E (2014) So why no PDFs? Is their fear of piracy -that- bad?

Two thoughts: 1. WOTC's goal is to make as much money as possible. To do this need to do two things: 1. Create a product people want to buy and 2. Maximize sales $$. 2. There are basically three types of customers. One people who will buy only books, people who will only buy PDF's and...

    D&D 5E (2014) Blade Ward cantrip

The problem with making it a bonus action or have a duration longer than one round is then it is TOO GOOD for a cantrip. Having resistance to weapon attacks as a cantrip is better than the Heavy Armor Master feat. I'd rather see it only situationally good than to powerful.

    D&D 5E (2014) Blade Ward cantrip

I don't think there are any concentration cantrips. I think that was one of their "rules". Also, does the EK get a attack and cats a cantrip as a bonus action ability? This might be a good spell for them.

D&D 5E (2014) Any New Monsters in the MM?

Man, I love the Quaggoth. I had forgotten all about them until I found them the other night. I immediately wrote up a underdark mercanary group made up of quaggoth with a spellcaster (Thonnot?) as a leader.

    D&D 5E (2014) Blade Ward cantrip

I have a dwarven warlock (blade pact) who I basically play as a melee character. I took this cantrip because I thought I would use it when I was far enough away that I couldn't charge in and fight. I haven't cast it in three sessions.
