We're doing a wide variety of adventures with Shadowdark. Not everything has to be dungeon crawling. The torch timer is not essential to play! And we roleplay a lot with interesting characters. With careful play, and not fighting everything in sight, it's not as lethal as its reputation either.

I'm very intrigued by Ghostfire's revamping of their Grimhollow. It's being updated to be in line with 2024 but I'd use it with 2014 or Level Up. The character creation looks really really good so far, as well as the Monster Hunter class.

5e to me feels like a streamlined 3e to me. Feats, rolling stat plus skill, very similar multi-classing, skill list, etc.

The way it's written is going to lead to endless arguments between RAW and RAI... Definitely agree invisible and hidden need to be separate.
