    ZEITGEIST Worldres' Zeitgeist Campaign

Oh, I love the photo capstone. Seventhdoctor, I'll dig into the wiki tonight. For me, it's always an honor to hear players enjoyed the campaign, and I suppose it's a good problem to have that it's starting to get hard to keep straight all the different casts of PCs from the various campaigns...

ZEITGEIST 5e and Remove Curse, Geas, etc.

Yeah, in the edition where we wrote it, you could not dispel a geas unless you were at least as high level as the original caster. So, um, they can't dispel it, or remove curse it, or anything, until the party's at least 15th level (by which point it doesn't really matter). Yes, it's a fiat...

What is, in your opinion, the single WORST RPG ever made, and why is it so bad?

One night, while a lot of us were drunk for some party, my friends started spitballing names for RPGs, and the one that we landed on was Sorority Combat Mission. They insisted I run it immediately, despite having done no planning and having no rules. In my drunk brain, I decided that instead of...

    Bloodborne dungeon crawl ?

I ran a Halloween one shot for a group of friends who'd never played Bloodborne. The PCs were father, stepmother, cruel uncle, witchy grandma, heroic brother, and creepy neighbor, and they rode for Yarnham to take the family's sick young daughter for treatment at the Church, where the girl's...

    Suspension of disbelief and education

My bad. I chose a bad term because there is not, to my knowledge, a word that quite captures what I have in mind. I meant that the object producing the forcefield cannot use friction from inside the field to rotate the exterior of the field. The forcefield's exterior is sort of 'grippy.' If a...

    Suspension of disbelief and education

Ooh, ooh! I actually have an explanation for this if I ever try to do my own mecha setting! The short version: forcefields which do not transfer momentum and which do create strong EM interference. Like, the various reasons Battletech is silly are: 1. Why pilot mecha instead of drones? 2. Why...

    WotBS Nightmare Trillith stat blocks

Depending on how comfortable you are with kludging some rules, you could just take any CR appropriate monster and add a couple trillith-y elements, then give it a Portentous Name and maybe a little bit of flavor in an aura ability or something. Like, this hill giant were-dire-boar could be...

    D'oh, yes.

    ZEITGEIST Tizbiz Zeitgeist Campaign

I normally don't go in for royal weddings, but non-hereditary monarchy I make an exception for.

    ZEITGEIST Tizbiz Zeitgeist Campaign

I'm not sure if maybe I messed this up, by I figure that (edit) Beshela serves She Who Writhes, and SWW can banish people the same way TVoR can, so her being in the Waking was basically a one-way trip (at least until Av gets put back in its old place and new connections between the planes...

WotC: 'We made a mistake when we said an image not AI'

I'm pretty sure EN World doesn't get much say in what sorts of ads run on the browsers of visitors, but it did amuse me to see this pop up while reading this thread: Man, the world is so weird now, I'm almost wondering, "Is this a fake ad meant to discredit Adobe? Because that looks pretty mid...

WotC: 'We made a mistake when we said an image not AI'

There was an ad by Wacom - y'know, for the tablet that artists use to make art - and the ad was AI generated. Way to piss off your audience. --- Look at the tail just sorta appearing out of the belly, and the fringe of the back not going up the spine. No real artist would screw up like that.

God, I loved Thurston's idea for dumb redneck salamanders.

    ZEITGEIST Crispy's Zeitgeist Campaign

I'm far too pleased with myself over all the fey weirdness of this adventure.

ZEITGEIST Zeitvice: one GM's guide to the best AP

I don't think it was ever the intention for Urim to hit Av. I don't know. Maybe the golden asteroids were the things at the edge of the Gyre that tore it apart?

ZEITGEIST Zeitvice: one GM's guide to the best AP

The Ob ritual sends all the planets that are no longer being used (Mavisha, Avilona, Urim, Apet, Reida, and Nem) to the Gyre directly, but then because the Voice of Rot kept the system from having a sun, the whole system starts to get drawn toward the Gyre too. And then Av - whose orbit is...

    ZEITGEIST Worldres' Zeitgeist Campaign

I'm rereading the thread now, and so much of it delights me all over again. Like the fact that during Always on Time, the future king (who used to be the actor who played all the female roles) went undercover as the whiny teenage stepdaughter of another PC's cover identity. This might be the...
