    Heroes Season [Volume] 2 (#26)---10/08/07-'Kindred'

Actually, that's how I remembered it, too. When folks said it was Peter, I just assumed I was wrong. But at least I know that if I was wrong, I wasn't the only one!

    Heroes Season [Volume] 2 (#26)---10/08/07-'Kindred'

I don't know why a tattoo on Peter would heal at all. It's just ink under the surface of the skin. It's not hurting anything- why wouldn't it just stay put?

    Heroes Season [Volume] 2 (#26)---10/08/07-'Kindred'

That doesn't make sense, then. I thought Sylar's power was figuring out how other people's powers work. He can sort of tell when they're alive, but to get enough knowledge to acquire the power he has to look at their brains. But if that were his power, he shouldn't have been able to use it...

    Heroes Season [Volume] 2 (#26)---10/08/07-'Kindred'

So if Sylar has the disease, does that mean that he wasn't able to get Candace's power? If so, that's a *very* good thing. Sylar with illusion powers would be a truly terrifying super villain.

True, but it hasn't done that either.

I fear you are right. :( And with only 1 or maybe 2 strips per week, the story seems to drag.

    The Deck of Many Things

Ooh. Very cool idea. I like the idea that raise dead would be a commission to the Queen of Thieves (very evocative name) to retrieve the character's soul. The 5K diamond is sort of a down-payment. Some of the bad cards are signs that the caper did not go well. Very nice!

    Name change?

I support Ryan in his effort to appropriate his own name. In case anyone was waiting for my approval, which I strongly doubt.

"New Posts Since My Last Visit"?

It might be that this feature is treated as a Search by the boards. Search is restricted to community supporters, which is something you have to pay for. But if you become a community supporter you get to make regular searches too. This note really should be included in the error message...

September - What are you Reading?

Read Naomi Novik's Empire of Ivory. Best book in the series, barring the first one. And Lawrence Watt-Evans The Spriggan Mirror. 9th in his Ethshar series. A trifle pedestrian- I think I would have liked it better as a teenager. I've ordered Dave Duncan's Seventh Swordsman series (or is it...

    Little Known Rules of D&D

Something to do with natural healing not working when you are dying. And fast healing follows the rules of natural healing unless otherwise stated. And there's some sort of official answer confirming this. I'll see if I can track it down. edit: here it is! post 53 of this thread

    Little Known Rules of D&D

I was reading somewhere that fast healing doesn't work when someone is dying... i.e. if you are below 0 hp your fast healing doesn't automatically stabilize you. I didn't know that (and actually it seems kinda fishy) so perhaps it is a little known rule. Unless I am unusually ignorant, that is.

OotS 489 "Keepin' the Little Man Down"

I assume that's the time line. The story must take place in the year 1184 of the game world.

    List your problematic spells here

Simulacrum is problematic. Especially if combined with Eschew Material Components. Free wishes from simulacra of noble djinn, creatures with fast healing or regeneration (to bypass the oddly worded restriction on healing- if it is a restriction). It's a weird spell.

Few people know whether, according to the RAW, a monk can take Improved Natural Attack. :ducks and runs:

OotS 488 "This is your life"

Huh. One action (leaving a friend to an uncertain fate) would have been enough to turn him from Lawful Good to True Neutral. If not repented for, that is. And associating with evil characters isn't just for paladins to worry about. That's more than enough material to start an alignment...
