I don't understand why they felt the need to add those words. If you are blinded, you are blinded. How hard is this? SO MANY EXTRA WORDS. Strong dislike. Very strong. Don't get me started on the stat blocks and all the extra stuff in there....

There are blog posts all over DNDbeyond, many of which are similar to magazine content. Not as much new stuff, but a lot of stuff.

It is always an issue with big builds. My players are generally cool with sticking to my build though....I play in person and online.

It's not that hard to use, imo. But I over built everything, and it took a lot of time. Also, my players don't want this as much as I do..... So that's one reason we don't actively use it anymore.

Agreed. They should charge me. I already have a platform where I've paid, heck, twice. I'm not sure what it would take to get me to pay a third time. But they should charge me for the effort of getting the rules into their system.

I really don't get these posts. Lots of people can't. Nothing about a VTT stops this.

I don't agree with that last part, as he's very critical of how 5e design went from his time there....so I don't think he thinks everyone should be using 2014 rules at all.....

My opinion, YMMV.... It sounds very judgy and gatekeepy. It sounds dismissive and not all that nice. It was posted on X, and not bluesky, so he was aiming this at a certain demographic, which makes me believe more that this not good......

It's one reason sports is harder and harder for me to watch. I know what some of those people think/believe.....

Foundry is close.... Great UI for character advancement with official rules support. Foundry is ok for 5e, but not great. We import from DNDbeyond. Super easy to put in the basic stats and attacks and features for NPCs, which includes monsters. Foundry is not easy for 5e. 2.5 d..... So, you...
