This reminds me of the Horse issue, where it turns out that getting a horse gets you a couple of extra miles a day and that’s about it. the horses advanced speed was explained in 5e as being more akin to a sprint and not a long distance mechanic

I want this, and have all the actors at the table in regular clothes, but Hugh Grant is the DM and instead of Sophia Lillis, it's Brian Posehn and thats my tabletop experience right there.

Naw they are gonna go super meta. They will change the release date 15 times, each time they do will be announced 3 days before the previously assumed release date. True villain is scheduling.
