Honestly I felt this way when 4e added Dragonborn Tieflings and Eladrin to Eberron. It was weird and felt super shoehorned. It took me a while to get to a point where I could comfortably tell my players “yeah I’m not ever going to center anything around feyspires sooooo plan accordingly”

I absolutely agree. Enchanment isnt INHERENTLY evil, but its definitely abusable. On the other hand, blowing up someone with a fireball is the spell working exactly as intended and in a campaign with a foundation in war, I feel like we get to the weirdness of how is damaging with a spell...

I completely forgot about the Kender focus on Kender extended families, another trait often associated with Romani but not with children specifically.

I’ve made a couple of comments about WotC focus and I want it made clear that my official stance is that I (1) don’t think wotc is neglecting anyone, just not giving 100% to anyone group and (2) I believe the ignoring issue is a two way street. I can’t say I have purchased 100% of WotC products...

Yeah I’m in my mid 30s myself and feel like I am getting all the things I was wanting when I was 13 and just starting to get into 3rd edition as it was released. I’m not saying they didn’t have a different experience but this has been overall great. Not perfect but pretty great.

It’s a genius strategy, making sure they don’t leave anyone out. As I am stuck in the middle of old and new, it’s like a golden age for my collecting.

Or it supports that older gamers aren’t supporting WotC so they are going where the money is. It’s a two way street.
