Critical Role To Wrap Up Third Campaign, New Exandria Unlimited Miniseries Announced

The pre-recorded episodes are going to be split into 2 parts on the VODS and their streaming service Beacon. It sounds like the Youtube upload will be the full 8.5 hours, though.

    D&D 5E (2014) Lesser Vorpal Sword

I suppose it comes down to how respectful and trustworthy your players are. I don't want to sing platitudes about how important it is to have a group of good people, because some of us play in Adventure League, pick-up groups at our FLGS, or are part of clubs where 'strangers' are playing with...

    D&D General Which BG3 companion?

9 is no slouch, but she was a 24 Fighter / 21 Druid! At least they give a nod to the druid aging thing by having her looking into the ageless magic when you investigate her home.

    D&D 5E (2014) Lesser Vorpal Sword

That's the very definition of "Need Before Greed!" You defer your own reward right now so someone else can have something nice, with the expectation that something nice for you will eventually come down the pipeline, until everyone in the party has a couple of nice things. Mild imbalances are...

    D&D General Which BG3 companion?

Yeah, many of the characters comment about being weaker. Astarion, for example, is pleased he can go out into the sun but says he is too weak to even catch random animals to eat. Wyll, Karlach, Gale, Dark Urge, and Minsc all mention being weaker than they used to be. Though, in the case of Gale...

D&D 5E (2014) What does it mean when a Web spell is "layered across a floor, wall, or ceiling?"

I always loved how the text never actually says the web is stuck to the surface it is anchored to / layered over. It's implied thanks to the web being described as sticky, but objects can just pass through the space, and the web doesn't actually stick to surfaces. It's a people catcher!

D&D 5E (2014) Lycanthrope Player Characters - How Would YOU Do It?

Surprised nobody has mentioned Moon Druid yet. It's extremely easy to refluff the shapes of a Moon Druid to all be "werewolves." Blood Hunter is a great option for a more martial playstyle, of course.

    D&D General Which BG3 companion?

Halsin and Jaheria seem most likely to show up somewhere on an agenda and ask the party for assistance. You can slot them in almost anywhere and it wouldn't cause much mental dissonance. Karlach is in third place, being friendly enough to chat up the party on her own initiative, but her...

D&D General Should the Platypus be a creature created by wizards, and the Capybara be Small Giant Space Hamsters?

Like... some kind of rodent of unusual size? I don't think they exist.

D&D General Should the Platypus be a creature created by wizards, and the Capybara be Small Giant Space Hamsters?

CR only goes up to 30! The system can't handle monsters that powerful.

    D&D 5E (2024) Why aren't Angels concidered a type of Empryeans?

Angels will always be the ascended souls of petitioners to me. Gives those folks something to look forward to!

    D&D 5E (2014) Baldur's Gate 3 needs more short companions!

Best part? The reaction suggests the squirrel is another druid.

D&D 5E (2024) Goblins and Orcs Not Being Green

I know it's such a minor thing, but I love that Pool of Radiance used the 1E goblin art in-game!

D&D General How Do D&D Adventurers Dress?

10' Pole Fashion is making a comeback, baby!

D&D General Redesigning DnD 5e with no Bonus Actions

Transform it into some kind of three action economy system.

    D&D 5E (2014) BG3 is once again a Platinium Selling Game in 2024, without selling a DLC.

I'm cool with your version of events. What happened?

    D&D 5E (2014) BG3 is once again a Platinium Selling Game in 2024, without selling a DLC.

Oh definitely! I agree! But remember how insistent they were about the definitive and imperial editions NOT being DLC? And they were almost (humorously) salty about Sir Lora being DLC in "See, we made a DLC! Are you happy now?" way. :D

    D&D 5E (2014) BG3 is once again a Platinium Selling Game in 2024, without selling a DLC.

The "No DLC" thing is mostly just a Larian preference and not specific to BG3. They've never been big on it. Amusingly, I think Patch 8 can rightfully be called DLC even if they don't use the specific term. It has all the hallmarks of a DLC, especially if we combine it with all the bonus ending...

D&D General Should the DM roll in the open?

I tend to roll in the open, but I have no strong feelings one way or the other. It's just sometime fun to be theatrical and drum up drama with an open roll for a big moment.
