D&D General Lore-related: What happens to a fallen Harper?

You get a visit from Mirt the Moneylender. You sit down and have a long hard chat. Then you clean up your act, or you get the Finder Wyvernspur treatment.

What is the name of the Lich Queen?

D&D General What do you like to do in playing D&D

Maybe "Help my friends/interesting people" is less meta phrasing. But I suppose it's also a little more vague, since it could include helping them bake cookies or less story oriented things. Then again, I would totally help another party member bake some cookies.

D&D General What do you like to do in playing D&D

I'm a huge junkie for the Exploration Pillar. Even in video games I check under every rock and dark corner. I also love advancing the story, whatever the story might be at the time. Could be a big metaplot, or just helping someone on their personal quest, etc.

    D&D General Boomer/GenX 5e? (+)

Karen is a category of behavior that dates back far longer than the term Karen, and used different terms in the past. Sometimes those terms were steeped in the culture of the time, sometimes what was within the category of behavior differed a bit, and sometimes they had no specific term at all...

    D&D General Boomer/GenX 5e? (+)

My father used to play, but he named all his characters things like Elrond, Frodo, Bilbo, etc. This is funny, but it is not a joke. He really named them that.

    D&D General Boomer/GenX 5e? (+)

My first reaction, too! Gave me the jibblies to be lumped into Boomers. Then I realized how fitting it is we got overlooked again. :ROFLMAO:

    D&D General Boomer/GenX 5e? (+)

As a GenX I am already hooked, don't care about Greyhawk because I homebrew so much, and the cartoons don't make me want to buy books. I mean, I got a happy chuckle at seeing them again. But no part of me translated that into a desire to buy a book. I WILL buy the books because I support the...

    D&D General Millennial D&D (+)

The first few quests you complete, you are rewarded with a full celebration and golden participation trophy. The price of gold plummets, becoming essentially useless, and you can't sell the trophy anywhere. Now nobody celebrates when you complete a quest, and you secretly miss the celebrations.

D&D 5E (2014) Should Explicit Monster Roles Return?

I find them useful because you can look them up online. You can sort of do that now, filtering for fiends or beasts or CR. But filtering for roles would be great.

D&D 5E (2014) Rune Knight Is The Best Fighter Overall IMHO.

Yep. Echo vs Rune really comes down to how permissive your DM is about the echo. I rate Rune a bit higher because it just works in almost any group.

D&D General Demetrios1453 Plays the Gold Box Games

The first time I ever did this fight I was getting slaughtered. As the last man standing, my cleric cast Animate Dead out of desperation and brought back a fighter. Tyranthraxus murdered my cleric, and the zombie fighter got the killing blow. The game then has my lone zombie walk back to town...

D&D General Are you aware that the New Edition (5.5 whatever) is a part of the 50th Anniversary of D&D?

Snarking and sarcasm are also part of the GenX legacy.

D&D General Why Do People Hate Gnomes?

Skills are automatically maxed out if you are proficient in them. Hopefully you picked skills that fit your character. Though I am amused at the idea of a character who hates all her proficiencies but won't retrain them. "My Pa forced me to do this until I got it RIGHT, now I can't stand it!"

D&D General Why Do People Hate Gnomes?

I've been fairly keen Gnomes = Obsession lately. Every gnome is inclined towards some manner of obsession, and they can change the things they obsess over, but you often finds gnomes who have become masters of their craft after practicing for hundreds of years. A little like Dwarven Craftsmen...

D&D 5E (2014) Should Explicit Monster Roles Return?

Yes. I want to be able to search for a term and get a list of monsters that apply. I don't think monsters should be forced to fill certain roles, but role tags should be given to monsters after they are made so someone can easily understand where that monster is probably strong, new DMs can...
