I'm assuming I'm going to need some rest, extended or no. So I'm going to assume two skill checks, two hours each, and then sleep (But no extended rest). 1d20+3=6, 1d20+3=13 At sub-standard and exactly 10, I'm running with Passive perception both times. Will two 13s get me anything?

Ah, he'll be fine. I doubt the enemies will keep pumping shots into him now that he's down, and he won't get to three before the cleric gets there. By the way, is there type command on ENWorld?

Jumping is an athletics check. And jumping 3 squares would take a higher check than 10 (minimum 15, that's with a running start). Anyway, I don't like the idea of moving through the open center, as that makes me a target. I also don't like the idea of struggling and failing with athletics...

I'm betting those two aren't running around in a one-healer party wherein that individual is a pacifist, though :) . It's providing some interesting opportunities for roleplay, to be sure.

My problem with this is that each adventurer then gets a choice of participating in whatever adventure is available now, or sitting around doing nothing, taking up a character slot while waiting for a better one. Maybe it wouldn't bother other people. But I have seen multiple adventures crop...

I would think that having a backlog of games waiting wouldn't be a problem. After all, there's a big ol' inn, a message board within said inn, and a newspaper. I'd say any adventures ready to get players should be allowed to post. But then, I also think that any adventures that key into...
