    Instead of a Screen...

The only reason I still use a screen at all is the habit of printed material to largenly and colorfully show monsters the party is about to fight, maps with secret doors and clues, and giant section headers betraying tons of spoilers that can easily be seen up to 5 feet away. :) So I think I'll...

Kobold Quarterly 6: 2008 Annual plus free bonus adventure

Arg. I have tried so hard to convince myself I didn't need this, and every issue it gets worse. Have you seen the lineup of articles in this issue? Wow. And it's sticking with 3.5 or so the theory goes. Oh dear, I think they got me. -DM Jeff

Points of Light from Goodman Games

Are you serious? Well, it seems Goodman Games will still see a few dollars from me after all. Good news here. -DM Jeff

    Gaming Tables

I'm gonna have to say build it. I spent months trying to either find a table or even just a piece of wood to match the size I needed (5x7 feet) to no avail. Eventually my wife and I bought a much smaller but sturdier table at a Goodwill shop for about $15, then went to Home Depot and had 2...

    <- Sucker

I had all the Fantastic Locations to begin with, and I actually HAD a copy of KotS in my cue even though I'm not going to 4e just for the pretty maps they promised. Saw the review, and that was outta my shopping cart faster than you can count up to Jack Robinson. -DM Jeff

Do You RPG More Than Once Per Week?

I meet weekly with one Pathfinder RPG Group, and with another group twice a month for D&D 3.5. So, yes. -DM Jeff

Do You Only Play D&D For Your RPGing?

Almost. I play Pathfinder RPG weekly with one group. D&D 3.5 twice a month with another. Once or twice per YEAR someone can't make a game, and then it's Star Wars Saga and/or Doctor Who via d20 Modern & Future. -DM Jeff

    Gleemax is Dead

*snarf!* Oh man, I haven't laughed that hard at an EN post in a while. Now to tell my employees I'm not having an attack... Gleemax was supposed to be facebook and/or myspace for gamers I thought. Anyway, the horrible interface had me visit three time, I think, in the first week and then give...

Adventure Path for Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved (updated 6/24) Art by Ryan Barger

    >>Other (please elaborate) Miniatures. Minis for their more awesome, big, but 'shaped-like-nothing-else-I-have' monsters they come up with. Working with Reaper to do pre-painted plastic ones would rock. I know, dream-dream-dream. :) -DM Jeff

Forgotten Realms Avatar Trilogy - your experiences?

The modules were pathetic. Unplayable as-is. But the story had promise. So, I spent a couple months and rewrote the NPC parts as the character parts. It became one of my more memorable FR campaigns that still gets war stories told of its glory to this day. -DM Jeff

    Rate WotC as a company

Just a few years back I would have rated them much higher. I still liked their products toward the end of 3.5 and so did my players. But the trends in editing left a number of things desired, along with a "withdrawal" if you will from the community at large (only to attempt a hasty...

Pathfinder 1E Rate Paizo as a Company!

They listen to, react with, and respond to, their community. They hve their fingers fully on the gamer pulse and show a unique love of the hobby that puts their products heads and tails above the rest. -DM Jeff

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo cherry picks

This is great to hear! As someone who's been running the RotRL adventure path as-written, it's great to see the stuff make leaps to other stories and campaigns just because of the quality work in them. Glad it worked for you! -DM Jeff

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder: Encounter Design Simplified

All I can say is...WOW. My Pathfinder Beta playtest for Curse of the Crimson Throne begins in about a month and I'd like to let you know I copied this work into a printout I can use with the game to fill in the encounters in-between. Good work sir! -DM Jeff
