    SWSE Saved My Marriage

Well, no, it didn’t, but it helped. :p You see, we’ve known each other for 18 years, been together for 13 of those, and finally, after all this time, I have convinced her to try some Star Wars roleplaying. It’s been a long road. Back in 1998 I played the WEG version with friends, and it felt...

Summer Gaming Report: What Are You Playing?

Running a little Star Wars Saga Edition. Soon playing in Pathfinder (Halls of the Mountian King by Open Design). Running Pathfinder (Darkmoon Vale sandbox) come August. Doritoes & Lemonade on the side... -DM Jeff

I currently play x edition and I do or don't buy 3pp stuff. A POLL

I voted 3.5 and allow 3pp, but that's misleading. I use 3pp stuff when crafting my adventures but the player's aren't allowed to touch that stuff with a 10-meter cattleprod. -DM Jeff

    I like 3E, but I miss...

advertisement Not as much as I thought I would have. If I'd been told back then that rolling for psionics, alignment restrictions, 10' protection from evil from paladins and the like would have been taken away I would have crumbled. Thinking carefully, I can do all this now in my 3.5 game if I...

Why Did No One Tell me? Ultimate Toolbox!

Putting a PDF up for sale isn't like dusting crops, boy! Without precise calculations we could fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova and that'd end your trip real quick, wouldn't it? ;-) -DM Jeff

Pathfinder 1E Paizo's Age of Worms pdfs, and hunting for originals

I only have a few Dungeon files from Paizo and I can assure you they are full on searchable and electronic files, not someone slapping down the pages on a scanner! :-) -DM Jeff

Why Did No One Tell me? Ultimate Toolbox!

Well, I've heard a lot of responses to this but here's how I use it (yes I use my own books, don't be shocked). The encounter designer form on page 357 (and described on the previous page) is straight out of my home campaign tools, and sees action every session. At one point I knew the...

Need some demonic death throes ideas

Nice one! Let's see... 1d20 Evil Outsider Death Throes 1 Appendages are consumed by the torso, which then drops to the ground like loaded luggage. 2 Appendages turn to hellfire and begin lashing the rest of the creature into burning ash. 3 Body explodes into a thousand scarab beetles which...

Why Did No One Tell me? Ultimate Toolbox!

When AEG does the PDF I'm pretty suire it will be just one file, of the whole book. I am finishing the last bits to go to layout with jim, and we might have it ready before the month is out, that's my goal. -DM Jeff

Tell me about Adventure I & II [2004] from AEG

Ah, the memories. Yes, that was me. I'm the one who did the work on these books, restatting them, reworking the text and updating them all. The best part is AEG really let me have free reign with little constraints, except word count (and even that was relaxed here and there). When I knew some...

Representing flying on the battle mat?

Indeed. The entire pack fits inside a little plastic shoebox case. Even for impromptu encounters they assemble pretty quick. There's really only about 5 or 6 core pieces to it, so grabbing them and popping them together is a snap. Great for gauging underwater depth as well! -DM Jeff

Representing flying on the battle mat?

We use a healthy supply of Combat Tiers. They're the best. Here's a set up from one of my games recently. index -DM Jeff
