Oops... :( I went to your page to buy a print copy of Fables a couple days ago. I saw this... ...and followed it to DTRPG, where I ordered the POD version to go with the pdf I ordered in the KS. Sigh. Great book, though!

If I bailed on 5e, it would probably be for B/X or 1-2e. All of which, along with 3e/PF1, etc., Wizards asserts are now dead along with OGL1.0a. 😡

I haven’t played either a dwarf or a halfling since about 1984, but when forced to choose between them… Dwarf, Hill 10 -2 = 8 Halfling, Lightfoot 13 +1 = 14

Dwarf, Hill 14 -2 = 12 Elf, Wood 6 +1 = 7 Half-Elf 13 Half-Orc 12 Halfling, Lightfoot 12

I've been focusing fire on the aasimar for a while now.

Those all-but-2 are AD&D 1e options, at that.

Aasimar 6 -2 = 4 Dragonborn, Gem 8 Dwarf, Hill 17 Elf, Wood 9 +1 = 10 Gnome, Forest 5 Half-Elf 15 Half-Orc 18 Halfling, Lightfoot 11 Hobgoblin 5 Kobold 10 After all this, it comes down to 6 core species from 1e D&D, 2 1e monsters, and only 2 later creations.

I’d like to take this opportunity to announce the imminent release of my life’s work: “Kobold and Pie.”

The one thing needed, for me, is Wizards affirming the irrevocability of the old OGL, such as with the 1.0b you suggest. Anything else, I won’t care much.
