OGL: Kobold Press 'Raising Our Flag' For New Open RPG

All that Kobold has announced is that they have begun “work on a new Core Fantasy tabletop ruleset: available, open, and subscription-free for those who love it—Code Name: Project Black Flag.” Depending on how things shake out, Project Black Flag could be a new system, or it could be an...

Hello, I am lawyer with a PSA: almost everyone is wrong about the OGL and SRD. Clearing up confusion.

Kobold Press published 4e adventures without either the GSL or the OGL. I expect they will do something similar going forward.

OGL: Kobold Press 'Raising Our Flag' For New Open RPG

Great! I’ve been with the Kobolds since they were Open Design and creating their 3e/d20 Kingdom of the Ghouls. I especially liked their non-GSL, non-OGL, but 4e-compatible adventures ‘Wrath of the River King’ and ‘Courts of the Shadow Fey.’ I trust Wolfgang, et al. will know how to thrive in...

I'd really like a link to that interview, if it exists on the web.

    Battlezoo Shares The OGL v1.1

I wonder if Wizards will dare post a Dragon Talk this week? The last one was before Christmas, and they may hope to avoid review bombing right now. Also, which community member would want to be interviewed?

    Battlezoo Shares The OGL v1.1

Sexism is a major reason why Lorraine Williams is/has been so reviled. We don’t yet know who is driving this new campaign, beyond Hasbro/WOTC writ large.

D&D 5E (2014) Twilight Fables Now Publicly Available!

Oops... :( I went to your page to buy a print copy of Fables a couple days ago. I saw this... ...and followed it to DTRPG, where I ordered the POD version to go with the pdf I ordered in the KS. Sigh. Great book, though!

D&D General Are you jumping ship? What will you be switching to?

If I bailed on 5e, it would probably be for B/X or 1-2e. All of which, along with 3e/PF1, etc., Wizards asserts are now dead along with OGL1.0a. 😡

How about a DnDBeyond logout strike this weekend?

I’m thankful I never signed up for DDB.

D&D 5E (2014) 5E Survivor: Species (formerly, "Races"): Lightfoot Halfling Wins!

    I haven’t played either a dwarf or a halfling since about 1984, but when forced to choose between them… Dwarf, Hill 10 -2 = 8 Halfling, Lightfoot 13 +1 = 14

    Statement on OGL from WotC

I’d like to take this opportunity to announce the imminent release of my life’s work: “Kobold and Pie.”

New OGL - what would be acceptable? (+)

The one thing needed, for me, is Wizards affirming the irrevocability of the old OGL, such as with the 1.0b you suggest. Anything else, I won’t care much.
