    Grading the Mörk Borg System

I love the vibe of Mork Borg - converted Rotblack Sludge to 5e and DMed it to my players

    D&D 5E (2014) Ranking the 2014-2024 5E Adventures

I've used segments of the 5e version. Reading the whole thing didn't inspire me to run it.

5E: Fifth Edition Monster Variants Inspired by Fourth Edition Sources

I need to re-read, digest and think about these :giggle: I also prefer the STR 10, CON 18 arrangement - the idea of a mist being strong seems a bit weird really.

5E: Converting AD&D Monsters to Fifth Edition

Something like this? Multiattack. The efreeti firelord makes three attacks, using any combination of scimitar attack and its hurl flame power. Scimitar. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (3d6 + 7) slashing damage plus 14 (4d6) fire damage. Hurl Flame. Ranged...

5E: Monstrous Arthropods for Fifth Edition

Crap...now where was I.....ok, hell yeah to Expert Aerialist and Keen Sight, and to Dodging Flight in Reactions! Yeah ... if an opponent is engaged in melee with the dragon fly, then the DEX save is at Disadvantage.

    D&D 5E (2014) Ranking the 2014-2024 5E Adventures

I much prefer Stormwreck Isle to LMoP. I've DMed WBtWL multiple times and love it for engageability. Most other WOTC adventures I've struggled to find interesting, though have used segments of them with engaging hooks.

yeah I think they all look fine. Agree on the DEX proficiency for saves. I'm thinking some sort of dodgey flying thing for skill/trait etc.

D&D General Evidence from the Arneson vs Gygax court case, including early draft of D&D with notes

And would go with how the suffix "-man" was used up until about 20 years ago as nonspecific...how "fireman" "postman" were not necessarily meaning "men"...and "mankind" etc. Hence I agree that "fighting man" (which I do remember being used in the late 1970s) was not implicitly gender-specific at...

The Rise And Fall Of Evil Genius Games

disagree - bipolar is rare and episodic, and usually when people are unwell they come to the attention of hospital/police etc. But to be honest, "diagnosing" anything remotely is not prudent

ok start with AC 16 for white and we can go from there

5E: Monstrous Arthropods for Fifth Edition

Sounds good - am imagining a high AC from tough exoskeleton plus high dexterity - maybe starting at 18 for the white? if we tone down to CR 0.5/1/2/3/4/5 then...?

5E: Monstrous Arthropods for Fifth Edition

Agreed - ok, shall we aim to make them CR 2/3/4/5/6/7 for white/black/green/blue/red/gold dragonflies?
