    D&D General Tiered Enemies

I mean I would think a horde of regular orcs stops being a serious threat at level 6 when you can drop two fireballs a day.... Or two a short rest if you're a Fiend Pact Warlock.

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

Is that including the Plane Shift stuff? or the Archdevil Tieflings? because I only counted like 52 ish non-legacy options.

Uh... was anyone complaining about the lack of bakers, librarians, and shop-keepers?

    D&D General Tiered Enemies

I think my bigger issue is having to justify the escalation of threats within the game world. When the party takes on an adult dragon and a lichen lich within a week-in game that has to give other bad guys pause.

No the party just got stronger. Like I think it's a CR 6 creature so how many of them the party can handle has just gone up.

    D&D General Tiered Enemies

I think it depends on the scenario and the assumed power level of the game. I've been using a custom Space Ogre monster in my spelljammer game since it started at 5th level (it's now at 12th level) but I have adjusted the to hit and damage slightly to make sure it's still relevant. The...

Okay but I can fix her.

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

There are more NPC statblocks now. That's a good thing. But saying that there are more Orc/Duergar/Drow/whatever statblocs than before because you can just use the NPC statblocks for them is just PR... You could always do that. To be clear, I'm not annoyed about not having the base 'race as...

Looked through my collection and the only non-official patron I found with Flaming Sphere at 3rd level was the Red Dragon patron from The Elements and Beyond.

And yet they let you play as Kender.

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

The thing about using the humanoid statblocks as templates is... that was already a thing. There's a list of npc heritage templates on page 282 of the 2014 DMG. Edit: Ninja'd

Dungeons & Dragons Comments On Possibility of Future Movie Projects

I mean they can, but the Solasta team did make that game through special agreement, not through OGL/CC

Larian also sold BG3 in Early Access for three years and created it iteratively. Not really an option with a movie.

    D&D 5E (2024) New Celestials | 2024 Monster Manual | D&D

I can take or leave the aasimon nomenclature, but since they never use it, the aasimar species' name is kind of a headscratcher.

Is it just me or does WOTC seem allergic to the word Aasimon?

D&D General Ray Winninger on 5e’s success, product cadence, the OGL, and more.

There's a difference between saying that a game was influenced by other games and the most common way this line gets repeated "4E was just WOW on paper"--which is inevitably a pejorative statement spread by people who probably haven't even played it. It's not like 4E actually plays anything like...

Yeah, you can play 4E without a grid but it does lose something without a way to visually track positioning. Though honestly, I prefer to have a grid even in 5E because I've never liked playing the 'am I in range' and 'do I have enough movement to reach them' edition of 20 Questions.

Not only that but if you're just a client and not hosting, it Browser Foundry will run on a potato of a PC.

Wait does that include Giant Eagles? Because that means Druids lose one of their best flying wildshape options.
