Shadowdark Setting Looks Set To Be 2025's First Million Dollar TTRPG Crowdfunder

The most exciting part to me is the THREE new one-page adventures. I like everything Kelsey does, but her one-pagers are masterpieces. Just brilliant exercises in minimalism.

Racism Bad spelling Bad lawyering ...did I leave anything out?

    D&D 5E (2024) Removing Concentration

This is a fun question, and I'm not trying to rain on the parade. But the actual right answer is "do not remove concentration". Anyone familiar with 3e (among others) could vouch for that. Sorry, now back to your regularly scheduled broken combos.

    Michelle Trachtenberg

There have been hints for a while that she was having a very hard time. Rosie O'Donnell said vaguely that Trachtenberg had been "struggling" the last few years. In one of her recent selfies on Instagram, she could literally have passed for 60. Now that she's gone I guess we'll find out the...

Shadowdark Arcane Library Western Reaches KS

Oooooh, this looks good. I like vanilla Shadowdark, but when Kelsey stretches out a little, that's when great things happen.

D&D 5E (2014) Why Do Higher Levels Get Less Play?

WotC has already said they'll never again publish a "(core book) 2" since it can overwhelm new players. But a "So-and-so's Guide To Epic Adventuring" seems possible.

Who’s your vote for the next James Bond?

Madden would be perfect, but word is they don't want to cast him because he's gay. Yes, that is apparently still happening in 2025. :(

D&D 5E (2014) Waterdeep - Dungeon of the Mad Mage

The first level is one of my favorite dungeoneering experiences ever. Even though I died. Or heck, maybe because I died.

Astarion Makes Another Cameo Appearance in 2025 Monster Manual

Too much effort. An easier way to make money is just to lay everyone off!

Why Dungeons & Dragons Isn't Putting Out a Campaign Book in 2025

I hadn't put two and two together and realized that Arcadia stopped publishing during the OGL debacle. Man, that really cost us some excellent third party stuff.

D&D 5E (2024) What is With Poison?, and Other PHB Conundrums.

Because then there's no chance of a player casting the spell and then having it do absolutely nothing (as others are currently discussing). And why settle for a spell being merely horrible when it could sabotage the players and ruin their turn? This isn't supposed to be fun, is it?

Monsters & More: An In-Depth Review of the 2025 D&D Monster Manual

I assumed it was because of the racist undertones. Former NFL star Richard Sherman once said that "thug" was "the acceptable way of calling someone the n-word nowadays." He isn't the only person to express that idea. But both things are true, so that's a pretty convincing case to get rid of...

Evil Genius Games Attempts To Remove Bad Press [Update--And Then Adds Legal Threats!]

You might get sued for defamation for posting that! Actually, they both might have grounds for being defamed by that comparison.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Monster Vault 2, Terror from the Underdeep, White Box: Cyclopedia, and more

By the way - the original post says that Terror From the Underdeep is "a boxed set adventure that converts a well-known DCC campaign to 5e." That's actually not true. Goodman explicitly says it's "all new". The confusion probably comes from the stretch goal add-on adventures, which are mostly...
