Lego is a tool of Satan

I know it makes me think impure thoughts.

Yeah, I feel ya. Oh, and I get the 'why' behind it, too.

    Do spoilers bother you?

Umm ... no. That's how you feel about it. Many, many, many others do not. Again, it's a personal thing. How many people watching that show do you think have read the books? A handful? I guarantee you that quite a few of the show's rabid followers read every single book before they watched...

    [April] What Are You Reading?

Still working on Palahniuk's Doomed. I like it and it looks like there will be a 3rd book in the series - at least halfway through. Lots of setup, lots of backstory so I assume there will be more. I don't see enough pages left to resolve this in this book.

    Cat Vs.Commoner, Part II

That's a good point. People get pets and expect them to behave rather than spending the time with them teaching them how to do that. A little research goes a long way but that takes time and people are lazy.

Heh, I'm with ya on that. Too bad we can't get much deeper, eh? :D

    Cultural appropriation in writing?

It weren't me what was cruel to animals, it were god. It started snowing Saturday afternoon and we've still got some on the ground. It sucked. We were gonna clean up the garage an' stuff but the weather kinda killed that thought.

But they were good at a time. The Bengals could be considered to be good right now. The point is that OSU football always was king. Oh, I agree. So set limits. You get your first PhD free, the second is on you. Obviously something more elegant could be devised but it's not like it's...

    Cultural appropriation in writing?

This weather? Man, this weekend was terrible. It was snowing cats and dogs on Saturday! Er ... I mean, not literally. Like, there weren't really cats and dogs falling from the sky. It was just ... you know what? Forget it.

Ohio State. The state itself has the Browns and the Bengals and yet OSU football is bigger than anything. Admittedly the Browns aren't great right now but they were (believe it or not). When people go to college they're typically at an age that that rah-rah stuff sinks in. Lotsa kids go to...

People take those attachments with them when they move and, typically, make those attachments family tradition. College sports aren't money makers solely cuz of regional appeal. Those major markets eat it up just like everyone else - and that's not even considering teams that are in major...

Meh, you get the idea. Of course not and that's why I noted that it'll never happen. When schools can afford to build multimillion dollar athletic centers they're not gonna freely give up that cash. They have too much to lose and tradition here is a strong factor as well. How many 'Bama...

    'Student' athletes

Link I know most of us aware that this goes on but this is the first time I've ever seen an actual bit o' 'work' from a student athlete. This is all sorts of messed up and it detracts from the few kids who really do make an effort to learn while also playing a sport. Get rid of college...

Bradley Cooper as Indiana Jones? Didn't see that coming!

Hells yes. Explode-o-pr0n! I guess you haven't seen American Hustle yet. He's amazing in it. Oh and Karl Urban could star in just about anything, IMO. That guy's legit.

    Cultural appropriation in writing?

Bro, I'm not gonna play pedantic games with you. Someone pointed out hyperbole, I thanked them for it and that, my friend, should have been sufficient explanation for the whole 'die in a fire' thing you're so hung up on. You wanna keep telling me I'm saying things I'm not, that's cool. I...

Bradley Cooper as Indiana Jones? Didn't see that coming!

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Katy Perry with a whip ... or a featherduster. Yeah, silent film is the way to go with that casting.

    Several/few

2: couple 3: few 4: some 5+: many I have no idea why that's hardcoded in my brain as it is and no idea whether or not it's caused any confusion.

Bradley Cooper as Indiana Jones? Didn't see that coming!

I heard that if they do it they're gonna replace Indy's whip with a feather duster.

    Cat Vs.Commoner, Part II

Definitely. There's a lot of ways to mistreat an animal and, like most things in life, the little stuff can add up to a big problem. Yeah, it's honestly my feeling on it as well. I mean, I can see the rage a cat attacking a baby could inspire but there's other options than kicking it that...

    Cultural appropriation in writing?

Some elements will be lost, others will not. This is not a black and white situation. I also never once suggested than anyone would tell anyone else that part X of their culture had to die. This is evolution, not edict. I know, you think it's impossible. Well, it's not. See, I'm an...
